  • it's a polite version and it sucks.........................nutty dreadlock is not exactly carolina

  • @gregardon it is done in dr.alban style but he had the respect to call michael rose to do the song together

  • Personally I think this version is better, but that just me

  • Rulio, who is a dope? This guy has won a lot of awards performed in the grammys amd also won a grammy.

  • Dis da musical prostitution, what a shame, Black Uhuru is more than dis dope

  • i heard dis shit on dat scarface game

  • A better sound, damn your smoking. knotty Dred bitch

  • I heard dis one first in 1998, and I love it. Then not long ago the original Black Uhuru version. That one rocks too. It's a classic.

The old lyrics are better but i think this one has much more better sound.

Respect to Black U & Dr Alban

    Peace

  • I agree too, it should be a law that in any musical composition, if you use elements or samples of a pre-existing song or composition then you must be obligated to include the creator and or performer of the pre-existing work to for equal control of any new content to be produced ....would cover off things like in any performance of songs live, video, posters , whatever.... makes sure everyone gets their due bits, not like a "crapster" or "apple empire"

  • What you say is more like a moral law. You can't oblige anybody to collaborate with you and, unfortunately, you can't oblige anybody not to use your pre-existing samples. But Alban collaborated with Rose cause he liked Black Uhuru (Big up!) and this song. It's nice that Rose agreed and kinda returned to the mainstream with this song.

  • Original Black uhuru song

  • yeah.

dr alban liked it and wanted to make this new version. but i like the fact that he made it a feat with m rose, and didn't do it by himself.

  • yes this is a good thing that he makes the featuring, true man and not a robber.

  • suger arsle

  • gues whoes coming to diner! natty dread locks Polanda Vivez Rastafari. ligalize it!

  • thanks for this clip drskit....

  • ahhh, this song brings so much memories. when was this song released by the way? anyone?

  • song released in 1997, included on the I BELIEVE album (as trk 2)

  • nice music

  • i wonder why folks are giving the song so much flak,it is a nice song and it brings about good memories cause when i was growing up it was one of my favorite songs. i wonder what dr alban does right now? cause i believe he is a dentist by occupation.

  • He is based in sweden1

  • he practiced dentistry for only 4 yrs

  • I'm pissed they changed up the lyrics to this classic. "Guess who's coming to dinner...NATTY DREADLOCK. I appreciate the HERB you have brought for me." They can't mess up the style though. Thanks for posting it.

  • Yeah the lryics changed a lot. The Original Rules. Max repect to Michael Rose though.

  • i love this song it's cool. Stupid You

  • hehe, I've forgot about this song... quite boring song but the refrain is a chewing gum, the "Carolina dom dom dararam" stays in the head...

  • Stupid. This also african. You just don't understand the lyrics
