@techisforme To keep the image slices as much sharp as possible as breathing will cause the image to blur at certain sections so it will be less useful for MDs.
and no, i was out of the room behind lead covered walls and a special door, that if you open it by mistake, the tube shuts down, so no radiation for me. that's why it took a while after the "breath" message and my enthusiastic laugh :)
@lonelyroadtofreedom its not radiating until a second or two after the computer voice tells to "breathe in and hold your breath" which is quite a few seconds after he leaves the frame ... ample time to leave.
yep, just had a cat scan,,,,one of the most intresting times in my life. The lady is sorta scary (the one that tells you to breath). Ally our thinking is..what theyheck is it doing and why am i breathing? then a=out of nowhere you get this werid sensation when they inject the idodine. luckly the guy that was doing the cat scan told me thats normal and will go away in like 10 seconds....thought i was dying or something.
but from what i remember, since there are many metallic parts, the images had many artifacts and noise, its like taking a picture of your mirror using flash, because metal spreads the ray back to many places.
I think ,,,This Noise wont come if the camera RF shielded camera.like satellite camera used to face this kind of problem ( cosmic rays problem). Anyway nice try,.
CT technology growing oneway very faster,, but our criminal mind also growing like this ,,,

Why do you have to hold your breath?
techisforme 1 year ago
@techisforme So you don't move during the scan

okay I know it's a helical scanner but I'd like to know who manufactures it? It's not a GE or Toshiba.

isn't this dangerous towards you because of the radiation? Were you wearing a lead vest?

hehe thanks!

@musichalloffame the only feeling you got was from the contrast they injected ... you can't feel a ct

That is great. I wonder what the output of the scan would look like?

You asked if we can guess the brand of camera. It could be a Canon PowerShot series... But it is neat to see how gamma rays affect the imager.
pmgodfrey 3 years ago
hehe, close but its not Canon :)
Anyway, i just wonder, when the camera crosses the radiated area, the pixels that suppose to be black are shown as black-purple, in a noisy way.
