That's not true. 2002 was mostly Solich players. Lord at QB, Deidrick at IB, the the entire O-Line. Solich took over after the 1997 season which meant the 2002 was the first team he had under a full recruiting cycle. Solich didn't drive the program in the ground. He just didn't keep it at the unbelievable level Coach Osborne had it at. Not many coaches would have.
And most of those players on the '02 team were recruited by Osborne. Solich and Callaghan ran the program into the ground. Thank God for Pelini!
