  • I have the album "The Faces I've been" on vinyl. Love this song. Croce was so talented, shame he died so soon. This is a great song. Nice video to go along with the song. Is that Ingrid singing with him? I've always assumed it was.

  • @purplkoala I have this on vinyl; I bought it in 197-something from the Columbia Record Club. Try Columbia for the entire album.

  • Would be much better without the added sound effects

  • I lived in Cambria County by the Gallitzin Tunnels and the Horseshoe Curve. I loved sitting and watching the coal trains pass...most were Norfolk Southern, but that area is so full of amazing railroad history.

  • Hey come on up to east PA Jim, Coal towns, railroads and steam far as the eye can see. I live a mile from the reading RR HQ what a sight to see

  • @hammerdown88555, I definitely agree with that. My grandmother lives in Lancaster County, and Strasburg, a town nearby, is a mecca for railroad enthusiasts. I myself live just outside of Philadelphia, but even there, the railroad presence is still strong: Powelton Yard, 63rd Street El, 30th Street Station, the headquarters of the National Railway Historical Society, Reading Terminal Market, and even subway entrances which still say "Pennsylvania Railroad."

  • @Stussmeister I traced my family tree back to Lancaster. Lots of Metzgers in that area!

  • @jzmet, there are several family names whose roots trace back to Lancaster, including yours. Names like Frey, Hess, Mylin, Stoltzfus, and many others. Leads one to the conclusion that Lancaster is a very close-knit community, as it was in the past.
