re: 1985, 1986 and others who claim authority to criticize jack johnson and this or any of his other songs. jj plays these songs in my kids' school and in many other schools around hawaii gratis and the children LOVE him. that's part of his persona... he's an educator and entertainer to whoever takes the time to listen to him. i suggest you wannabe critics go swim in a cold bowl of your own urine.

I agree with 1986, this song is rather crap. Lyrics only kick ass when they rhyme, make sense, make a point - no devoted music fan wants to hear about fuckin' recycling, maths and environmentally friendly crap! Face facts, we destroyed this planet, we're destroying it right now and recycling only slows down the process! That's torture! Grant us all a swift death by using inferior non-renewable resources.
