Because this version is all overblown, stadium-y and poppy, whereas the Nirvana version was subtle, understated, and almost slightly unnerving as well as being exceptionally beautiful. So yeah, totally different.

brilliant! for people who dont know, marigold was written by dave in the nirvana days, kurt heard it and jammed with dave on a 1992 demo and after kurt died, the band got together, including the original drummer from bleach days and performed this as the final nirvana song
