It seems to me that using such words only creates a rift between sub-groups of humanity. We might call these races. The only real difference in my opinion is that the color and shade of the skin is varied (eyes and hair too, to some extent), other than that, we are all blood, organs and bones. As long as one group uses the word it is likely that another will continue to use it, but not in the familiar/happy sense that the affected group uses amongst each other.
