3:58.. so in 'reality' that's what our sky would look like if you had magga ray sun glasses etc?? The fact that they are there and it is happening is profound..
The show is fine, but I LOATHE the fawning and worship of scientific men. Yes they made the discovery, but its the discovery that is moving us forward, not the men. Yes they deserve their names mentioned and recorded, but the worship of them is unhealthy and detracts from what they accomplished.
You see, Feynman wasn't just a common garden genius. He went to orgies and fucked his students. But those aren't even his greatest achievements! Well, ok, maybe they were.
@narutobeast90 explain why you think that way. this was what i was typing to another reply of ur post b4 i actually read it> your right. its sad. as i grow older, now in my young 20s at university, i notice more and more our fathers failed at. greed being foremost bc from what ive seen almost everything inhibiting is a derivative of that. but your way of problem processing and source determination is really what i find sad. if anything substitute religion where you said Christian. sry u thinktht
@huyked Good point. I suspect that the lack of accurate and well produced scientific programing in US has alot to do with corporate/political interests. The US ranks just behind Turkey in it's understanding and acceptance of evolutionary biology. We allow non-issues to enter public discourse and political debates because half the population is scientifically illiterate. I'm sure than certain politicians and sponsors want it that way. A stupefied public can be easily manipulated
@huyked Yeah, it's sorta shocking. I think we're about 20th on the list, which ranks us far below most developed/first world nations. We're one of wealthiest and most technologically advanced countries in the world and yet we can't afford to create programs and curriculum that informs/educates our citizens. Half the time, they turn scientific information into pseudo political debates (ie: evolutionary biology) so that viewers can "take sides", similar to watching a football game
It's interesting but it isn't clear enough for people who don't know much about physics and maths. Okay, every matter has anti-matter and they shall not meet each other... But why? How? What does the equasion say? How is it a combination of Einstein's and the other equasion? The "meaning" and "explanation"of the equasion is unclear, I don't know what it means. I know what the conclusions are but I want to understand the deepest meaning, the "how"/"why". This documentary only shows conclusions.
@TheNabilWest Quantuum physics is better described by mathematics formulas..if u want to have a full understanding of it all...you will have to study quantum physics at least Master level
@ThePodarek I thought he called Dirac second to Newton (of all the British physicists) and not himself but simply quoted some list? Maybe not, but that is what I recall and I can't be bothered to check it :)
@BlackBeardDelight187 , creationist have been telling the world for a long time that there is something beyond matter, but atheist laughed at them. now after seeing this documentary I am more convinced that creationist are right, the misteries surrounding our existence are too deep for us to understand.
@matatan69 Creationists are a bunch of bible thumpers in a lab coat, which keeps the bullshit off their costumes. But scientists dont say "matter is just matter", they know the Atom has obscure phaenomenal elegance and they dont deny it. You saying "misteries surrounding our existence are too deep for us to understand" is another way of saying dont bother understanding it, god did it.
I hope my anti-matter me does just as good in my physics exam tomorrow :D

Where are programs like this in the U.S.?! Discovery, stop with your loggers, gold miners, fishing series, and make something mind-blowing, please.

@huyked There is one good reason this isn't shown in the US.
-- The US is still largely controlled by devout Christians.

Once you understand the equation all your questions become clear.
equations represents what we know. Cause we still know so little.

But if there is an anti matter equivalent, then it must be near or connected to the matter version for it to exist, so why should it annihilate
