  • i like how Cyrus references the Lorax in this review. i can't wait for The Lorax to come out next month, mostly because i want to see the actual movie, but also because i want to see the review.

  • the lorax is the next movie :D check RT

  • Comparing the movie Rango to this is like comparing a car to a pizza XD

  • I hate this movie

  • I love these guys, but this movie KICKED ASS!

  • See reviews right when they come out! Sign up and make your OWN spill movie page at ------> spill.com

  • aww i loved green eggs and ham as a kid

  • this movie is a big old FUCK YOU

  • Before the afro dude gave his rating I didn't even know he was there.

  • i saw this movie before i had heard of spill.com (i was probably... idk 15 or 16 at the time?) and i really liked it. yeah it stretched a little bit but i thought they did well with what they had to work with, much like the Grinch. personally I think horton hears a who is as good as the Grinch (seeing as the Grinch was the only other D.S. remake that i ever enjoyed) this is probably, so far, the only movie review from spill.com that i actually do not agree with but it doesnt upset me either.

  • @clueless1redwolf Oddly enough, both of these movies feature Jim Carrey as the main actor. (P.S. I totally agree with everything you said.)

  • @M0VIES4U2 lol i believe so did the cat in the hat but it still didnt do as well as these two. thought out and well planned movies (even if they stretch a bit) tend to turn out better than corny pun filled movies with too many modern references which take away from the actually movie and story itself. that did not happen (as much) in Grinch and Horton and i think refreshing humor contributed to their success.... and u can never go wrong with Jesse McCartney XDD *is an old fan of his* lawl

  • @clueless1redwolf You, my friend, have just won a subscriber.

  • @M0VIES4U2 haha yay!! *feels honored*

  • u dnt comment on the anime part

  • the movie scared the shit out of me, i swear, i fucking shit myself. IT WAS SO SCARY

  • @carsontroeh Are you sure you're not thinking of the live-action Grinch movie?

  • Dr. Seus was smoking some sh**t. LOL

  • Iss - la Fisher?

isn't it pronounced Eye - la?

  • The books are pretty cool but the cartoons are awesome!!! viewit at cartoonsi.co.cc!

  • I laughed my ass off when Horton did that anime shit. That was out of nowhere, lol.

  • thix film pleasently suprised me. i went in, pretty much against my will, i thought i would hate it, and i thought it was great. =)

  • I have no words to describe the best and most profound film that I saw on freecartoonsus and that the cinema has made a masterpiece.

  • Blu-Ray Rental

  • Now there's gonna be a Lorax film. Danny DeVito as the Lorax. can anyone picture that?

  • (continued) but the people making these films (including the son of Dr Suess) should know the material well enough to be aware that these books are great works of art/literature and they are shitting all over them for a buck.

  • Theodore "Dr Suess" Giesel was most definitely on drugs. No speculation there. Check out "The Secret Art of Dr. Suess" if you don't believe me.

Also, these Hollywood adaptations of his work are disgusting with no respect for their source material, if the Cat in the Hat and Grinch live-action films are any indication. I haven't seen this one but it doesn't sound like it would change my mind.

I can understand why the average layman would say "durhur, who cares they r childrens boox?" (continued)

  • i have to disagree with spill.com

i absolutely loved this movie! i mean, yes it's padded out, but the jokes are funny enough that i dont care

as for the dance scene, well yeah that was like wtf, but it too was funny and I took it like a very outrageous joke and laughed

  • Loved the visuals and the soundtrack (except for that ending song thing was pretty cheesy). Also had the feeling of most of it being filler but hey, it's based of a book with a short and simple story.

  • Omg your right the sea monkeys have evolved haha

  • Me and my boyfriend absolutely LOVED THIS MOVIE. VERY charming and fun. The only real downside I feel I could mention is the fact that the ending was...cut? I mean, there's a HUGE build up for Horton to put the clover in the safety of the mountain, and we don't even get to see it happen! 8( I felt ripped off..lol

  • if i was horton i woulda been like....bitch i aint gtot time for this *squish* hey i do the same to ants :D

  • This movie is alright i had fun but this concept just does not work High Rental

  • "Horton Hears a Hoe!" LOL!

  • Its an allegorical story about god.

  • @Crablec10 Explain.

  • @eathenicus Horton represents god and the whos in the flower stand for the insignificance of the human race (Dr.Seuss was known for doing these type of things)

  • OK, interesting but I'm not bothering to share this.

  • High or not, Dr. Seuss was a genius and every one of these hollywood movies they make from his work has been shit. These movies are terrible because now kids are going to watch the brain-dead movie adaptation instead of bothering to read the great orignal books.

Oh, and nice to know the white guy is one of those cunts who thinks anyone who cares about anything other than making themselves fatter is a "hippie bitch". Nice to know

  • Dr. Seuss' How The Grinch Stole Christmas (2000) - B+ Memorable

Dr. Seuss' The Cat In The Hat (2003) - B+ Memorable

Dr. Seuss' Horton Hears a Who (2008) - B Good

  • They should of made the movie called Horton hears a violent dispute & didn't call 911.

  • Family Guy

  • heeey, i liked this movie! i was raised by dr seuss, and this is just the sort of cute, entertaining little flick that i like, loaded with moral lessons and good values :)

  • @Diazra this movie probably shouldn't be see by purists

  • Dammit it's pronounced EYE-LUH Fisher. NOT IZ-LUH.

  • The movie in my opinion was really nice.

  • PFFT land-sea monkeys XD made my day.

  • isnt the who's supposed to be the same as in the grinch?

  • I've always wondered what the Who's were. I think the "evolved sea monkeys" bit is better than what I thought. I always thought they were the missing link between humans and apes. They look like retarded spider monkeys.

  • Horton Hears a Whore

  • A Hollywood studio whore maybe.

  • I'm f#@#% subscribbing

  • what I didn't like about the moive is that tiny who named JoJo didn't talk till the end of the movie.

  • @slykeener

ru kidding? He was a tiny badass. Seriously, what did he build that thing for? Was he just that bored?

  • ROFLMAO 0:32 haha

  • can't we all just forget about sea monkeys?

who the hell wasn't pissed of when all you gat was sperm looking shit dry freezed and mailed to ya?

  • I personally give this Movie a "FULL PRICE" cause it has such great creativity and imagination, and the Visuals are excellent. Kind of like "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs"

  • I always wondered if the Whos from Horton hears a who were the same ones in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, meaning the Grinch is microscopic.

  • I think there the same race because remember they were on a snowflake and these were on a speck

  • THE SEA MONKEYS EVOLVED! AAAHHH!

  • Matinee!

  • this movie was pretty good :) a very high matinee

  • I actually liked the movie, i give it Full price

  • I admit it. I liked this movie. I give it a low full price.

  • OMG,ur right,the sea monkeys have evolved!

  • hortoon heard a woooooooooooooo

  • matinee

  • Yup, I love the lorax, the old hippe:)

  • Comment removed

  • omg ur right, the seamonkeys hav evolved lol

  • jerral bernet got out of her coffin to do that lolll

  • this shit cartoon was bad sorry 4/10

  • @absolutTBG watch the superior Chuck Jones cartoon

  • omg da sea monkeys hav evolved lol

  • i liked this movie, but i saw it the first time on a 13 hour flight from manchester to singapore, so it just makes me remember the plane engine and feeling vaguely uncomfortable lol.

  • wat does lol mean lucky old lion

  • lol is an expression of laugh, goofiness or sarcasm in other situation.

  • haha you serious? its like the most used internet abbreviation ever.

it stands for laugh out loud, nobody means that literally though, just makes your sentence look a bit more light-hearted, i guess people are trying to overcome the lack of tone of voice when talking to people on the internet

  • it's a good story for a dr. seuss film with good actors, and a seemingly good plot, but the thing wrong with it is that we have several animals which are actual animals while others are.. random stuff, but come on what are the chances that whoville can land on a clover and an elephant tries to save whoville...

    Story 35/50 (matinee)

    Voice 40/50 (full price)

    Entertaiment (35/50) (matinee)

    Originality 45/50 (full price)

    Overall score 155/200 (Full price)

  • I liked the film, it was the best Dr Seuss adaptation by hollywood so far.

  • i agree but it was a crap film mate

  • The story is platto an Angoly of the cave, you dumb fucks, great story line, great movie for all ages

  • I thought it was Allegory of the gave but maybe your right.

  • I don't get it. The whole plot of the movie had one simple underlining theme: "Just because you can't see it doesn't mean it isn't there." The movie practically beat the audience over the head with it.

So how come none of the Spill guys noticed it?

I would've said matinee for the kids, just because this is one of those rare movies for kids that will really get them thinking. There were at least a few moments in it that I thought were clever enough to make it a rental for an adult.

  • Dr. Seuss wrote in the 50s during the red scare. Seuss started out as a political cartoonist and his children's books were allegory about comunism. The kangaroo has one important line: if our kids have imagination theyll question authority. This was what our leaders said who tried to make comunism seem evil. Same goes for the comunist leaders who said capitalism was evil. His message was both systems have advantages and it's ok to question authority. This is what his lesson truly was.

  • The real life one's look like planktiens lolz.

  • The Sea Monkeys evolved and I wasn't informed?

  • Land sea monkeys are just normal monkeys

  • arent sea monkeys just shrimp or something?

  • I knew it was a movie filled with filler when I saw the "Japanese Anime" part. I mean, who thought that up?

WORKER: Hey, boss! You know that movie with the elephant and the speck?

    BOSS: Yeah.

WORKER: How about we through in a cultural reference to manga comics!

BOSS: ... OK, we need filler anyway!

The movie was still OK, though.

  • haah sea monkeys XD

  • i thought this movie was hilarious expesaly when at the end you see that little yellow puff ball floating through space and the ending song where the monkey beats up the other monkeys.

sorry for the spoiler for those of you who haven't seen the movie

  • yeh thats one big ass spoiler there going to be pissed

  • ...I never saw the movie.

    And now you spoiled it.

    Dickhead....

    (just kidding)

  • the sea monkeys have evovled XD

  • I disagree on this one...i thought this movie was great.... it had a really imt. message in it....

    and the characters were great!!

this movie gets a five star from me

  • lol the who's are a product of when a person had sex with a dog?! XD

that must have been one teeny dog

    a chihuahua!

  • wait...wait...wait sex with a chihuahua?isnt that the plot of beverly hills chihuahua?or its sequile idk=)

  • that'd be a pretty messed up sequal!

  • haha you got that right=)

  • It was funny, and visually pleasing. I give it a matinee.

  • usually u guys are spot on.. but i have to disagree this time. i enjoyed horton. it had its own charm and got the spirit of the book... unlike the grinch and cat in the hat.

  • OMG! SEA MONKEYS!XDD The people in my class talk about sea monkies and I think there stupid no such thing as sea monkies but I like the movie.

  • w/e i think the movie was good with a deeper meaning that most would miss... believing in something even if no one else does. It was good for the kids yes, but i also think adults could appreciate it like i did

  • sea monkeys

  • Actually whats funny is Dr.Suesse was a drug addict(from what i have heard)

  • Why does everyone think anyone who had any imagination was a drug addict? Lewis Carroll, wrote Alice in Wonderland. That book was weird, so he must have been on drugs! Dr. Seuss had some crazy characters and ideas in his book, he did drugs!!! that's my opinion.

  • Because imagination is rare in the US. That is why this film was made in the first place.

  • Hear, hear!

And its funny that they don't look at Lucas and say he was on drugs when he made Star Wars.

  • whats more believable aliens and robots shooting lasers.

or a freaking 6 foot tall cat walking around with a top hat carrying around a magic box with two midgets/small children inside that do the opposite of what you tell them to, while driving a red car that cleans up the house with many different scrubbers brooms and pads while the talking goldfish scolds them about not letting him in the house in the first place

Who do you think was smoking crack?

  • You're missing the point.

Just because someone is creative doesn't mean that they are on drugs! Yes, Dr. Seuss had some strange ideas but people love his books all the same! Its fantasy! No crack, no drugs, no nothing!

And I wasn't insulting Lucas. He's a brillant and creative too but in a different way.

  • you do know the drugs thing is a joke, right?

  • I love this movie so much! I want to buy it!

  • FULL PRICE!!!

  • i loved horton hears a who!!

  • these guys have amazing reviews

    funny and good

its blasphemy they dont have over at least 500k views on EVERY video

  • Well tell one friend to watch it, then that friend tells two friends, and those two friends tell another two friends and thats like 20,000 friends right there.

  • Yep. The sea-monkeys have evolved alright.

  • I thought the movie was alright. I can't see that I want to see it again. Like most animated movies that aren't Disney, Pixar, or Dreamworks(which is quite a shame because there a couple out there that are better than a good number of these guys), it will be forgotten.

  • I liked it. I'm a teenager and saw it with Friends I give it a good solid Matinee.

  • u got hourton hears a ho joke from the mtv movie awards waynes world

  • i liked this movie!

  • "I love that little hippy bitch!"

"Carol Burnett, who got out of her coffin just for this, apparently."

"Oh. My. God. You're right! The sea monkeys have evolved!"

    Ownage. Total, awesome ownage.

  • This movie was SO much better then Dr. Suess's Cat in the Hat. And actually, this book was one of the longer ones.....

  • triped out cat in the hat lol

  • i think it was better than they said it was and i dont really agree with all they said but god, lol that was a funny review

  • land seamonkes wholey cow!!!

  • jim carey redeemed himself in this movie.

  • he doesn't need to redeem himself he's always been great

  • i thought it was good. if you want to hear my review go to my channel.

  • I liked this movie among the other Dr. Seuss adaptations because this one sticks to the plot more than the others and it makes me realize one thing: Dr. Seuss movies should never be live action again because that didn't work. I also liked when all the Whos got together and started making noise to be heard. It did my heart good to see them all do what they could to survive when they almost lost all hope. And the soundtrack was way better than I would have expected from a kid's movie.

  • damn they should pay you to stand outside the cinema promoting movies

  • LOL This is the funniest movie review I've ever seen! I'm subscribing! XD

  • You guys are usually good at reviewing movies, but when it comes to reviewing kids movies, you just completely miss the point.

  • great Dr. Seuss adaptation

    prolly the best

  • hehe...sea monkeys evolve XD

  • wtf are you talking about? their reviews are the funniest shit ever, dont be a hater man. if anything, the do not blow.

  • "I love that little hippie bitch!"

    Awesome.

  • put it this way- does it better Toy Story?

  • No,but it is a brilliant film and to be honest, what kid's film can better Toy Story?

  • none

  • Exactly.Toy Story rules!

  • "Bud-Lite Beer" lol

Tom Hanks and Tim Allen, what's not to love?

  • I know.Toy Story is the best kid's film ever!

  • i loved this movie it was funny and awesome. i have a review

  • The movie was not the best movie ever, but it was WAY better than the Cat in the Hat or the Grinch bullshit. The best part of the movie was Steve Carrel and Carol Burnett.

  • what a miunte whovile is the name of the vile in "how the grinch stole christmas"

  • There are 2 great things I can say about Spill being on Youtube. 1. These guys can show their work to a wider audience. 2. The video's get a facelift in Framerate and it moves faster.

  • i gave this movie a 12/10 is awesome. i love horton and dr seus

  • I really liked this but it has its flaws and I rank Blue Sky above all the other cgi crap but way below Pixar.

  • Do these guys ever like a movie..........................ive been trying to find it they don't these kind of biast ppl who give reviews are retarded, if you don't like any movies...stop watching n get a life

  • They did say it was a good kids movie, which is the target audience anyway.

  • indeed.^^

    I love this movie.^^

  • they like alot of GOOD movies, look at their other movies they reviewed. Key word was GOOD movies, u probably think meet the spartans was a masterpiece right? HAHA

  • They like some movies like Dark Knight and Cloverfield.

  • review is a review, it's from personal opinion. i like to watch reviews first then watch the movie, the out come is some times better than vise versa. it's differs from people to people .

  • u frogot to talk about the ending

  • Loved it, best animation movie ever! 10/10

  • i thought it was a good movie, along with some of my friends. we were at a position where we were forced to watch it, and we actually enjoyed it. i think anyone from like 5-18 will like it. 18's pushing it, but i know some 18 year olds who liked it.

it has a pretty slow beginning, but when it picks up, it gets really good.

  • I agree.

  • this looks pretty sicc

  • Rental my butt that movie was great because it was a reconizeable look to the books and even if the story is longer than a five page book it was a great movie but matinee and full price is what I would go for

  • oh my god the sea monkeys have evolved haha

  • hahahahah funny review and Bond23975 you suck ass you fucking Racist

  • Come on guys, chill out. If you don't like the review then don't watch it. It is their opinion, which they have a right to, so let it be.
