Why do furniture companies charge customers $90 per stop and pay 3rd party delivery owner/operators only $20? The owner/operator has to pay for lumper, gas, insurance, and put up with some hoarders and slobs. This doesn't even include the back-breaking work it takes to deliver a mattress upstairs. Remember this folks, it only costs a furniture company $20 (on average) to deliver your furniture.
This is not true! If you would like to experience bad customer service after you make your purchase at a furniture store go to Ashley Furniture. They will order the wrong merchandise, make a delivery two hours late outside the time frame with no courtesy call to let you know in advance that they will be late, and keep you on hold for awhile when calling to complain.
