  • give 99 20 back ups and 99 will leave,,99 is solo only, only Ray of Doors could ever back 99

  • Why does he do the high notes studio but not live ?

  • @riverstrat Because it's seriously fucking hard to hit those notes! he could do it in the 80s but not a chance he could do it these days, not without damaging his voice.

  • its not playback, its great musicians

  • @TheTrooper80 Bon Jovi doesn't playback any of their songs... the voices you hear are Richie Sambora and David Bryan.

  • @EricSnowmane Man, you really are retarded if you can't hear the original vocal track here. Yes they are all singing along with it, but you can't get a sound as 'big' as that without a bit of help.

  • @bobsterfish You know, attacking me with insults and saying I am "retarded" is unnecessary.

  • @bobsterfish And forgive me, but I *still* can't distinguish playback. Maybe they do, maybe they don't. I don't really care. And when you have 3 people doing the chorus, that sounds like a reasonable volume.

  • its richie sambora's voice..not playback..

  • The guitarrist do the majority work! O: WOA WOO WOAA WOO WOA WOO! :O

  • lol... its playback!!! jons vocals! but its awesome!!!!!!!!

  • @TheTrooper80 thats David Bryan and not playback...

  • @ElectricityBoy no, its playback :)

  • @TheTrooper80 my god, you are idiot.........

  • @ElectricityBoy lol, dude :) watch some other live versions of this song :) everyone knows they used playback in chorus :)

  • the best*

  • bon jovi is the best ...

  • THESE TYPE OF CONCERTS ARE BEING COINTINUED?

  • Jon Bon Jovi FOREVER!!

  • From my memory, I don't recall the backing track being played on the original live broadcast. I think this has been added in afterwards. That's a shame because live music should be live, it should'nt sound perfect. From what I remember it sounded good the way it was originally recorded.

  • OHHHHHHHHHHHHH

QUE LE QUEDAN BIEN ESOS PANTALONES

    SE AGRADECE , ,MUY BIEN,.

    JON LO MAXIMO!

  • Years of strain has Taken It's toll On John's voice!

  • @SuperBinho1989 not really he still sounds awesome :D

  • Okay okay, we all know Dave used to sing the chorus and help out Jon after 86' when he lost his voice. Also, Richie helps alot. But they are ofcourse using a backingtrack ( exact version from studio ) in the end. If you can't hear it and think Dave or Richie is dishing it out you're retarded.

  • your an idiot im sorry there is no backing track on this there is a 4 part harmony learn music jerkoff

  • like the change in pitch, easier to sing that way

  • Yes, Jon is singing but the chorus is CLEARLY a backing track. It's Ok though. Lots of bands will have a backing track for certain songs when doing them live. It's common practice though I will say it's used quite a bit on this song, almost excessively. Jon can still sing quite well though.

  • @anacrobat89 its not a backing track lol they're in the select few musicians who play everything at the time

  • @anacrobat89 Its Dave Brian, Richie Sambora, and Hugh thats singing them... Not a backing track

  • @DomJovi1996 Yes, it is Dave Brian, Richie and Hugh singing the chorus. In the studio however! During this show, they use the track. Common practice.

  • @anacrobat89 They dont need backing tracks cos they dont over lap the tracks 50 billion times during recording... they dont

  • @DomJovi1996 your incredibly naive if you think there isn't a backing track here, are you saying that the bassist hugh (who is the only one singing at 4:00) is able to exactly mimick jons studio voice from the 80s as well as the other overdubbed studio tracks and harmonies to create that big effect.. Jesus Christ its fucking obvious!!!

  • @bobsterfish It sounds nothing like the recorded version... And David is singing as well btw

  • @DomJovi1996 Are you joking? Nothing like the recorded? it's exactly the same!! are you deaf??? besides, i can definately hear more vocal tracks than people singing on this performance.

  • who says playback?

Bon Jovi respects the music n they never do playback

  • derek and the dominos "little wing" version ending- nice ;]

  • Another tell tale sign of chorus playback: There is a very high vocal harmony in high parts of the chorus present on the original studio version. But they NEVER sing this live. Yet you can hear it here. Sorry but anyone who thinks there isn't a backing track of some sort here, is an idiot.

  • There is definately the original vocal tracks being played in all the "whoaa living on a prayer" bits. But to be honest they were probably added in afterwards when the dvd was made, it would be really difficult to add them in live, because the band would have to play perfectly in time to a click track throughout the song. Also the playback seems really loud here, probably because it wasn't a Bon Jovi DVD, it was lots of artists. The guy probably didn't know what they normally do.

  • Sorry for triple post..But the 'and' at 1:50 sounds WAY more quiet than the other words..Or am I really that wrong?

  • Ok, to be honest 3:38 sounds playbacked...really...And I'm a big fan, so it's no hate comment...Please tell me your oppinion about it...No trolls or I won't reply. Thanks. :-)

  • @idontknowanname yea you can tell jon wasnt even on the mic and you could hear his voice like it was

  • I'm a big Bon Jovi fan, but the part with the 'Wooohoo living on a prayer' sounds a bit...too good?

  • Love to watch the guitar player use his talk box. soooo cool!!!

  • @RockGuy7100

you mean the great richie sambora!

  • @FilmItYourselfTV you bet!!! Talkbox rocks!!! He's an awesome guitar player.

  • I was at live 8 in London and they played this on the screens and the crowd was going mad, everyone was singing. was amazing

  • Comment removed

  • he is gorgeous!

  • wow... whoever in the band sings those backing vocals, is great. That chorus is horribly high, and it sounds awesome anyway.

  • @oaiturriaga That is Richie my friend the guitarist:)

  • É muito firme!!!!! Meu amigo Sid Pira com esse Som!!!!aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • É muito firme!!!!!

  • Bring on Hard rock calling 2011,

  • patetico que no quiera cantar los tonos altos

  • no fireworks?

  • the crowd is just in shock at how awesome they are, even in the year 2005. ;p they're not there to rock out necessarily, they're there to witness legends.

  • the crowd is just in shock at how awesome they are, even in the year 2005. ;p

  • OK, this is coming from someone who has worked at studios and live events. What's happening here is not lip-syncing. All of them on stage are indeed singing. However, there are additional vocal tracks (loops) on the chorus (which sound exactly like the original vocal track, except half-step lower) which help make it sound bigger live. As somneone mentioned already, for some reason, they are much louder on this recording than anywhere else, probably because it's not their own concert/DVD.

  • @MrBluesmanJunior Thank you somepne that actually knows what the heck they are talkin about unlike the bumbling idiots all over YouTube

  • @MrBluesmanJunior THis is true, but, Jon IS trying to playback the first Woohoo living on a prayer..

Or he is singing, but I can't hear him :P

  • Comment removed

  • :D who dislike ?

  • There is definitely playback, but the guys are singing over it for the most part. So it's not lip syncing. The track's just there to help out. Though here it's WAAAAY louder than it usually is.

  • thats not playback. you do realize that jons not the only one with a mic in front of him on stage

  • Comment removed

  • @ironmaiden66695 listen to 3:36, you hear jon's voice straight from the 80s

  • @josedies07 you can tell at 3:53 especially because that is Jons voice singing from the original track but Jon's lips aren't moving. So unless he learned ventriloquism, its playback.

  • @proplayer3720 Sambora and David Bryann were singing

  • @proplayer3720

You can hear it quite clearly too, the higher vocals in the chorus are all the time excactly the same as on the original track, and it is impossible to sing it excactly like on the track, apart from the fact that his lips are indeed not moving

  • @josedies07 you can think what you'd like, but you are wrong. The chorus is playback.

  • Playback in the Choir U.U

  • Showin the young ones hows it done :)

  • @MARIOFREAK821.... nah the refrain is playback. At least the parts Jon can't sing. Still a great version, but part of the refrain is playback. If you listen to the original track you can hear it. Especially the last refrain.

  • @proplayer3720 there's a man wearing glasses 1:31 who is singing , maybe he is singing the part when Jon isn't singing

  • I totally read the title as "It's My Life". Lol fuck I was confused.

  • Always loved Richie Sambora and his talk box....

  • In a period where Jon's live voice was quite whiny (the Have A Nice Day tour) this is surprisingly good. That being said, his voice is AMAZING now in 2011, I don't know how he did it but damn what a comeback.

  • Yeah! Another Bon Jovi masterpiece to shame Justin Bierber ;)

  • omg backing vocal is amazing!!!

  • @Metalfilth sounds like the original track to me

  • @youngelvisnightowls I think it's the keyboard that makes backing

  • @Metalfilth listen carefull to the track, then play this,i dont hear a difference

  • @youngelvisnightowls

if you had any ear you would first realise that this is played in e flat, as opposed to the original recording which was in standard tuning (e) and doesnt sound anything like the original track.

  • @bobagoncheese if you didnt have such an attitude i wouldnt say who do u think your talking to like that???

  • @youngelvisnightowls ?? Lol my freind chris posted that, he gets very annoyed when people don't know the difference between playback and live :p sorry if he caused offence.

  • @bobagoncheese yeah him showing off trying to show he knows everything about music haha its ok mate its fine,or as us geordies would say........its alreet haha least we got good taste in music though ;) haha

  • Whos doing the backing vocals ? David Bryan ?

Bloody good who ever it is.

  • I think that in the chorus there is Playback, what do you think?

  • @cerdos10 u have true...

  • @cerdos10 No. The keyboardist David Bryan sings the parts you think are playback.

  • wat's that riff in the ending

  • Oh HONEY!!!! I am livin on a prayer that I get to see this band in concert before I die...Am such a huge fan...but have never been to a concert...missed the boat when they were in Denver for CEDAR concert! Seriously livin on a prayer:(

  • @mccdawnf1960 yeaa. I've never been at them concert too. And serious, that suck.. I swear that I will do everything to get at them concert. I don't care when. I don't care how. But I will see Bon Jovi live!!

  • quien canta los coros y dice livin´on a prayer?

  • from 2.08 -2.15 richies little slot is epic

  • Favourite Band of All Time !!

  • @sandyfreedom75 mine too

  • the best song of the 80s and thats how the crowd respnses? D:

  • who's the fat guy singing behind richie near 2:39?

  • @STYXTOUR1996 Jeff Kazee. He toured with the band from 2003-2006, and helped on the keyboards.

  • is it me or does he sound gay??? guessing its just because he is younger

  • Fuck yu Justin Bieber! Your A disgrace for the ages of music!

  • Justin Biebber created 30 accounts to press dislike button

  • the chorus is playback

  • PLAYBLACK!!! Oh, We´re half way there... Whoah, Livin' On A Prayer

  • @caolhomiope oh shit !

  • It's great that they actually have talent and can perform live on par with their CDs but... Their performing style is certainly dated! There's no doubt they're from another era. If you disagree take a look at Bon Jovi's pants and those hand gestures haha.

  • @LeahBrea Dated compared to who??

  • @LeahBrea Live on par with the cd? Fuck, the cd is playing in the background.

  • Bon Jovi would be nothing without Ritchie S!

  • A GREAT SONG!!!

    EEN GEWELDIG NUMMER!!!

  • wow!! this is rock

  • ah man, this crowd sucks! If this were beack in england the crown would be going mental!!!!

  • @LBDoctorJesus ya get me. It's mad bak here. seriously the concert back in 95 was amazing. only if i was alive. lol : D

  • @LBDoctorJesus totally agree mate, i watched this event online just for Bon Jovi, being a fan an all, in the uk though they showed highlights if you remember inbetween intervals and showed Bon Jovi playing on the screens, and i remember hearing them shouting this out loud when jonathon ross was doing a interview with jagger's daughter i think. Totally agree tho. Rock'eth On'eth!

  • @LBDoctorJesus exactly haha but its america.no disrespect but we are much better partiers then you guys......look at live aid 1985 when black sabbath and bryan adams came on......ok yous had a good time but us british (us geordies too0 would be on the floor for dancing so much

  • @LBDoctorJesus USA hehehe

  • @LBDoctorJesus Just look at the Live 8 crowd when the Proclaimers performs "500 Miles"!

  • @LBDoctorJesus This crowd sucks too, COME BACK TO ARGENTINA!!!!!!!!!!!

  • zairoification, this show was in philadelphia...

  • where happened this show???

  • bon jovi is the best!!!

  • They are playing in my city tonight - gonna be awesome!!!!

  • @SuefromNZ if u did record it can u upload it plz!

  • love the song, but i cant help but they dont put their whole effort into this.

  • HOly crap! This fucked up traffic like you wouldn't believe that day! :P

  • get in my pants.

  • 最高です!!!!!!

  • I love how they use a talk box they add such a great depth to the song

  • I really, really, like this song. Nice beat, nice arrangement, nice effects, and nice encouraging message.

  • They are Full in "snow" ....

    CRAZY BAND CRAZY SONG!!

  • bon jovis voice in the original track can be heard

  • @youngelvisnightowls That's only because he can't hit those high notes without putting serious strain on his voice [which is also why he lets the crowd sing the chorus]. :-)

  • @NoInfringementIntent good point

  • me parece o hay playback :'(

  • @TheFreezmaster Claro que no solo pon atención a como canta y a la canción original y te daras cuenta que no lo hay

  • bon jovi

  • omg this concert is unforgetable !!!! it was amazing!!!

  • haha love dave's little nod to jon when he first walks out, classic

  • Comment removed

  • is he using the talk box

  • @justinhagerty22 Yeppers. They're smaller than they used to be.

  • Comment removed

  • There is a backing track, but he is singing over it. It is more noticeable than other performances of the song, however. They use backing tracks a lot, but they are barely noticable.

  • im still convinced slightly theres backin tracks on 1.49 where it goes we'll take ma hand you can hear him slightly and it sounds a lil bit like the track

  • @youngelvisnightowls there clearly is 3.36.

He sings away from the mic but he sounds exactly the same.

  • @youngelvisnightowls

The other thing to remember is he has got 2 other backing singers, and if he is using a backing track then it is being used to give them more depth in the lyrics part of the song

  • @ThelebMachine i onyl meant the chorus bits....coz they sing it lowwer then they original do on the track.....im not saying that they ARE using backing tracks,it could just be my hearing.....id hate to think they were coz they are my favourite band in the whole world

  • @youngelvisnightowls You absolutly right, although they're one of the greatest bands in the world, Bon Jovi didn't take care of his voice so good he could sing the songs when he gets older. Besides that chorus is really high, even for him, so years singing like that took off some of his vocal range. And he must use back help, or just let the crownd sing on that chorus. If you know Guns n' Roses you know what happened to AXL's voice, but with Bon Jovi was not so hard.

  • @kalelsant AXLs voice?oh god dont i know about that!!!!!lol if u watch the video of him and elton john singing queens bonhemian rhaphsody in the tribute concert to wor freddie mercury it is easy to hear the struggles from him on trying to sing the high notes.

  • his smile electrifies through me... oh god

  • ...? he sings in playback.

  • 搖滾之神 邦喬飛 萬歲

  • lol bon jovi is for FAGS.

  • @trailerparkboys1996 well I'm almost sure that the term "FAGS" as you put it is spelled with all lower case letters and has an apostrophe like so fag's but I'm sure with being a "trailer park boy" you never learned proper spelling.

  • whooo bon jovi 4 ever

  • the best song of bon jovi

  • go to 0:42

check out the girl at the bottom right corner on somebody shoulders

  • Compare the crowd from the one live in London concert video.

  • @izenhart that means AMAZING lol

  • They're no good and will never be...

  • @TheJackOfHearts84 they are brilliant and always will be

  • I never realized that Jon Bon Jovi doesn't sing melody on any of the choruses. huh.

  • OMFG Richie u killed me with your solo!!!!.

    BON JOVI best band ever!!!

  • great. for me, this is the best performance of this song ever.

  • i can slightly hear what sounds like the original track on woooohhhh lliivin on a prayer

  • @youngelvisnightowls Nope, that's just the backup singers.

  • @femoman i thought, but if you listen to the chorus, then the original track, they are very similar as performing live it should sound different.but i believe you..............keep the faith

  • ggggggggggggggggggggooooooooooooooooooodddddddddddddddd d+

  • he's gone mellow. But he still packs so much punch!
