But you must also go back and look at why Paul says this, because most probably the women in your church are not coming with their heads covered. What we need to do ALL is our homework and study the word of God with a sincere heart and ask God to open up our understanding.

While prophesying can be a part of, or accompany, preaching ... it is not preaching (and certainly never in the instance of a woman preaching, teaching, or usurping authority over a congregation that includes grown men) !!
God is not the author of confusion, nor does any scripture contradict itself ; where most people go astray is in the area of "rightly dividing the word of truth" ( 2 Tim. 2:15 ) & not looking at the context of what is being said in each place & situation of the Bible.
God is not a respector of persons, but He does expect and require everything to be carried out according to His divine order (especially in a church assembly). Sisters in the Lord should be encouraged to "stir up the gifts" within them, keeping in mind the purpose of the gifts (tongues, interpretation, prophecy) is to edify, exhort, and comfort the assembly - not to rebuke or teach it. Women can teach children and the young women, but not grown men. Follow the order of God, or be as Isa. 3:12.
Amen. Women preachers and pastors is not biblical. Consider Eph. 4:11&12, then look at 1 Tim. 3:1-7 and Tit. 1:5-9. Also read 1 Tim. 2:11-14, then Heb. 13:7&17, 1 Cor. 11:3, 8&9, and 1 Cor. 14:34&35. In all these scripture verses, it is quite clear a woman can not hold a ministry office. Men & women have equally important roles, but quite different & not interchangeable : Eph. 5:22, Col. 3:18, 1 Pet. 3:1-5, Prov. 31:10-31, Tit. 2:4&5. No women apostles; no evidence of any women in Lk. 10:1&17.

I totally disagree with your standpoint on the subject matter. When reading the word, you cannot just take a scripture or two and build a doctrine on it. And if there is an exception, whether it disagrees with your point or not, you cannot disregard it. And you won't go far before you find Phillp's daughters. Or the Apostle Junia. The preacher and the reader are two witnesses, and there for every word is established. You really need to read more.

You and so many others pull one scripture and then run with a meaning that is so inaccurate. 2 Cor 13:1 Paul was addressing the Corinthian Church because he had threatned twice before to visit them due to their disobedience. As a result they took him for being a bluff. If you read the verses after you find Paul was assuring them that if he came he would not spare his authority to inflict punishment.

Greetings. I agree (not that it matters much) with the notion of women not preaching, since women preaching is not biblical. People try to twist some scriptures using the Greek out of context. What we need to do ALL is our homework and study the word of God with a sincere heart and ask God to open up our understanding.

While prophesying can be a part of, or accompany, preaching ... it is not preaching (and certainly never in the instance of a woman preaching, teaching, or usurping authority over a congregation that includes grown men) !!
God is not the author of confusion, nor does any scripture contradict itself ; where most people go astray is in the area of "rightly dividing the word of truth" ( 2 Tim. 2:15 ) & not looking at the context of what is being said in each place & situation of the Bible.

God is not a respector of persons, but He does expect and require everything to be carried out according to His divine order (especially in a church assembly). Sisters in the Lord should be encouraged to "stir up the gifts" within them, keeping in mind the purpose of the gifts (tongues, interpretation, prophecy) is to edify, exhort, and comfort the assembly - not to rebuke or teach it. Women can teach children and the young women, but not grown men. Follow the order of God, or be as Isa. 3:12.

Amen. Women preachers and pastors is not biblical. Consider Eph. 4:11&12, then look at 1 Tim. 3:1-7 and Tit. 1:5-9. Also read 1 Tim. 2:11-14, then Heb. 13:7&17, 1 Cor. 11:3, 8&9, and 1 Cor. 14:34&35. In all these scripture verses, it is quite clear a woman can not hold a ministry office. Men & women have equally important roles, but quite different & not interchangeable : Eph. 5:22, Col. 3:18, 1 Pet. 3:1-5, Prov. 31:10-31, Tit. 2:4&5. No women apostles; no evidence of any women in Lk. 10:1&17.
