  • ive got a pair of 4ks and theyve done that and i dont do jumps but its still slightly collapsed, if you tie your skates tighter it stops it from collapsing

  • @esentie Xtreme Ice Skaters break them completely.

  • It probably works but Dude, that looks pretty gross having tape on your skates. haha! anyways, keep up the pioneering ;)

  • @KeijinShiho Currently working on this problem. The Xtreme Ice Skate, a totally new type of ice-skate, should be out by the end of 2011.

  • just asking if its common, i have T blades on a pair of s-12's and the back lip is snapping off just where it meets the skate.

  • @TheMillinman I don't know if it is common or not, but I have received complaints from t-blades breaking before.

  • 9ks break down no matter what you do with them after a year or so. I'd say vapor 40s have been the best as far as keeping their rigidity goes for me.

  • @NUMBERoneCANIAC Thanks for your info.

  • i know this is 2 years late.... but honestly... as your constructing your own skates. think of making a slit right there. if u look at any figure skates from jackson you'll understand what im saying. figure skaters do this so they can crease the boot properly... and because of that crease jumps will be more comfortale and your skates wont break. that plastic wont do anything good for your ankles. hope you solved this.! =]

  • @CrochetAddict Thanks for the advice. I will discuss this with my boot manufacturer. Xtreme Ice Skates should be out next summer.

  • just buy new better skates dude

  • @prokysoft I can break any pair of hockey skates in just 2 hours of a jumping session. There's no hockey skate ever made today that can withstand our sport.

  • do they ice skate in egypt ````?????!1

  • yes.

  • Why done you just mount a blade on street skates?

  • We have Xtreme Ice Skates now, which is a blade mounted on a really stiff figure boot.

  • Malaysia is hard to buy new skate....

    haih.....

  • i like your idea of a "xtreme" ice skate. at my local rink a few of us do tricks ive watched your tour video's and visited your webpage you have a very unique skating style. you should visit more rinks in england we have our own variation of the tricks you perform. :)

  • Thank you for your comments. The "Xtreme Ice Skate" should be available this summer. You'll have to place an order with the manufacturer though. No more tours though. Can't afford it.

  • how does the Xtreme ice skate differ to a regular pair of hockey skates besides strength ? and any idea on the price range ?

  • It has: heel lock (to keep foot in-place and prevent chaffing, beefed up tongue (to prevent lace bite & for strength), tongue locks (keeps the tongue in place), flex point (to increase height in jumps), added outside toe cushion (to prevent rips and tears on toe box from constant chaffing), custom molding (skate is made custom to your foot), they're made of leather (pliability, durability, extremely strong).

  • Price I believe is $650, but it may change, I don't know. They are custom-made for your foot though.

  • Yeah i thought it would be quite a bit i just got vapor 22's when i turn 17 ill be looking for a much stronger skate , might need to get my self some of these ;)

but im guessing they wont be around in england for a few years. I also hope that with the increased strength it doesnt lack in speed because of not being so flexible, a skate that could give you the best of both skating worlds could be somthing amazing dont you think :D

  • The skate is performs the same as hockey skates in regards to speed. Most energy gets directed right to the ice because the boot is so stiff. And you can jump for hours every single day in the skate and it won't break like hockey skates. The manufacturer has dealers in the United Kingdom where they would make a mold of your foot and ship the molding to the maker here in the U.S. When the skate comes out, it will also be available in your country immediately.

  • i have nike bauer vapor IX and i haven't got this kind of problem... i do lot of extreeme moves and jumps but they don't break... u can see in only video how hight we jump but still...

  • God bless you than.

  • I had a pair of CCM 92's and they are not strong at all! the rivets give way on mine after about 3 months!

  • dude, that's serious.

  • u seem like you know alot bout xtreme ice skating and skates so i was wonderin whether CCM 92's were any good as a starting point as im new to xtreme ice skatin ..? cheers PS - nice vid :)

  • People ask me all the time about hockey skates but I don't use them any more, and skaters don't give me feedback about their skates. My suggestion is to get a skate that's pretty durable. It should feel stiff.

  • ok thank you for the help i will try on a few at my local ice skatig store

  • very nice.. but i play hockey .. i watch your videos over and over lol.............=]

  • yo dude thats just what skates do. figure skates do exactly the same. an there made to jump. thats why we replace them ones or twice a year. but a way i found to make them last a little longer. ones the cracks state an the suport gose. just do up your skate as normal an then go over the ankle part with hockey tape! it works. but costs to much in hockey tape to be a long term fix. maybe give it a go. let me know if it works.

  • Hopefully Xtreme Ice Skaters will try the advice you have offered.

  • I am having Xtreme ice-skates made so that you can run them over with a 10 ton truck and the skates with laugh right back :)

  • thank you Dan , really awesome video , i will try this on my skates and i will contact you . you are the best extreme ice skater i ve ever seen go on and break the ice

  • I'm just glad I can help you.

  • great vid

    great vid qh

  • ERM whats the different between t blades and normal i know they change the blade not sharpen but what other difference and whats better and harder to skate in

  • I never skated in t-blades. Couldn't tell ya. Just don't use t-blades for Xtreme Ice Skating. Some have complained they've cracked from jumps.

  • t blades if you want the truth are now a waste of money and trust me when i say do not take up xtreme ice skating with t blades.... i nearly had a nasty incident where mine snapped whilst doing a dime stop so yh ...normal blades for xtreme ice skating =P

  • Lol screw the skates breaking... I'm scared of *myself* breaking!

  • ha I tell that to myself every time I smack my hip on the ice.

  • 1sy yes polite is awesome
