i dont know what video your watching but thats a wide block. you mite be comparing chevys big block valve covers to these but the buicks have smaller valve covers. this is a big block look at the width between the valve covers.
no i actually meant the valve covers. chevy big blocks usually run a biggger valve cover because the way the head is designed but buick and olds have a thinner style head which makes them have a thinner valve cover.

Yes there is, i'm currently installing one in my 85 regal(a buick 350) it's more than 100 pounds lighter than a chevy 350 has a larger stroke and delivers more torque at a lower rpm than a chevy! In case you didn't know buick motors are the shit!!!

They can handle a little over 600, if you keep the rpms below 6000 most of the time. If you want to go beyond that you install a block girdle, which is a 1 inch thick iron unit that goes around the pan rail and over the mains, ties everything together. then you're good strength wise. I'm having one put in mine as we speak

thats because the one i have videos of for right now is my learn how to drive bracket style car. and thats an 87 btw. i am building an 84 with a 389 stroker glide, ford nine with 4.86 pushin 8.9 to 900 horseys. naturally asperated. building it to hold a 350 shot once in a while =) im not trying to bust on your bigblock but i think its easier to say that regals came with smallll blocks to get into the super chevy races and buick vs ford races. good luck with thte car and keep on flying!
that's true, sbc's are readily available more than this guys Buick or in my case,a 472 caddy in a 78 couped de ville. i want to build a 572 stroker caddy (or have it built) by MTS. should be good for 750hp. but my car weighs over 2 tons of course but they do have 8-71 kits for it!
save yyour money. for reliabilty and bang for your buck go to schafiroff motors. best thing theing for motors at least bigblocks or even a merlin outta jegs! but cant beat bulding them yourself cause thats the fun part. besides, who doesnt love building something just to blow it up! lol

thats because the one i have videos of for right now is my learn how to drive bracket style car. and thats an 87 btw. i am building an 84 with a 389 stroker glide, ford nine with 4.86 pushin 8.9 to 900 horseys. naturally asperated. building it to hold a 350 shot once in a while =) im not trying to bust on your bigblock but i think its easier to say that regals came with smallll blocks to get into the super chevy races and buick vs ford races. good luck with thte car and keep on flying!

that's true, sbc's are readily available more than this guys Buick or in my case,a 472 caddy in a 78 couped de ville. i want to build a 572 stroker caddy (or have it built) by MTS. should be good for 750hp. but my car weighs over 2 tons of course but they do have 8-71 kits for it!
