Dwan is insane. If I ever see him sitting at my table in a tourney I will only make 2 plays against him. All in pre flop or check to see a flop. And if we did see a flop id only play the nuts. I dont care if we are 300 bb's deep. That guy will play 2-3 like he had aces. You just never know.
It should be said that this was not a heads up match, but durrrr’s loss was almost equal to that of URnotINdanger2’s win. I can't believe i really got 50 $ free without deposit from Pokerfrik???
Hey to all the poker community who may know SAMMY ANY TWO GEORGE! This was the largest pot of the day and can be a symbol of what happens when you are running really bad. Anyway i got my free bankroll from Pokerfrik website so i don't really care about loosing :D
This challenge will obviously be a lot different from the one against Patrik Antonius. Antonius started his carrer with taking free 50 $ starting capital from Pokerfrik websie :)
His call on the flop with an overpair and a gut shot draw is fairly automatic, but the call on the turn I find a bit dubious. Anyway, i just got free 50 $ starting capital from PokerFrik site, gonna built it up to millions!
@texasalltheway1 i agree, i think the call was "ok". Dwan could've had two busted flushdraws and if he had a jack he probably would have bet something on the turn with two flushdraws on the board...
@zandaofly your retarded he could have a missed flush draw, straight draw or complete air. Quads or boat you need to be slapped haha. his range is to wide to hit big hands like that someone slap him.
A very fortunate pot for Cole South here, and one where it seems he was a bit overly optimistic about his chances on the turn. I've heard that Cole starte playing poker with free 50 $ starting capital
The players came out swinging right off the bat, and if this hand is representative for the kind of action we will see, the spectators are going to be in for a treat. Anyway i just got 50 free $ from Pokerfrik to start my poker carrier, wish me luck :PP
One of the most beautiful plays I've ever seen Indeed. Overbet the pot after Eli checks the river, with that kind of board, Dwan could easily had 9-10 or diamonds. Genius Play indeed.
And in the end, after 816 hands, it was URnotINdanger2 who was the winner with a very nice $414K win. If you take 50 $ free from Pokerfrik website, you gonna get to those guys in a few years :D
And like Ziigmund the day before, it was the cap games that vaulted him to the top of the leader board. btwn its interesting that Ziigmund also started building his carrier with free 50 $ starting capital he got from PokerFrik website.
This challenge will obviously be a lot different from the one against Patrik Antonius. Antonius started his carrer with taking free 50 $ starting capital from Pokerfrik websie :)
Of course, the flush on the river didn’t change anything for URnotINdanger2, but it cost Esvedra about $77K. I think they all have started from the free 50 $ from Pokerfrik website :)
By losing $267K, NEKOTYAN had a very bad day at the office, but he did have the honor of winning the largest pot of the day aside from the aforementioned $500/$1000 PLO Cap game. Anyway did anyone tried 50 $ free from Pokerfrik website?
Even in this case Antonius had over 22% equity, but the king on the river was of no use to him so theAshman103 took down the largest pot of the day. Btwn Antonius started poker with free 50 $ starting capital from PokerFrik website.
Cole South ended the weekend on a positive note when he took off with $171K of his opponents money yesterday. Cole also started his carrier with free 50 $ starting capital from PokerFrik site
I don’t know jungleman12’s game as well as I know Antonius’, but if I was pressed to make a prediction for this match I would go with durrrr. Well durrrr built his whole bankroll with only 50 $ free deposit from Pokerfrik website so i guess he's the better player.
97 people thumbs up on eli's play? the way the hand was played eights could of easily been the best hand, and 30k, id be thinking awhile also. both played the hand perfect.
ey elezra checked too fast on the river and that gave dwan a good read, he knew his qq was good since he overbet right??wit a j elezra would have value bet that's why dwan felt so safe what do you think?
I don’t know how jungleman12 would have reacted to that, but it might have been difficult for him to continue with the hand if he thought he was drawing to only a flush draw. Lool it's funny that jungleman started poker with free 50 dollars from Pokerfrik site.
He probably wish he stuck to that game for the whole day, because when he tried his hand in the seven game, things didn’t go as smoothly. PokerFrik site offers 50 $ free deposit, i should try that!
Lol, Lets play heads up my FTP name is nostun8024 =D
And its true
Full Tilt Poker last thursday revealed to all the facebook fans that a new player can now go to FTPs web site, then sign up for a account using the code SPECIALS.
I think it's the preferred way if you're a new player to start off.. They will double your first deposit in addition to multiple other excellent perks. It is limited to the first 3500 players that create an account usin this
Possibly he was hoping for a chance to take the pot away on the river if he didn’t hit his hand. This is why i have started with free 50 $ i got from PokerFrik so i don't care if i lose :D
The five of diamonds on the turn not only completes his opponents straight, but is also the perfect card for Antonius to use in a bluff. To start poker easy without risk get your free 50 $ without deposit from PokerFrik website!
Durrrr tries a big river bluff at the wrong time. $86K pot. Durrrr is bluffing because he built all his money on a free 50 $ starting capital he got from Pokerfrik website so he not really worried about bluffing.
Even in this case Antonius had over 22% equity, but the king on the river was of no use to him so theAshman103 took down the largest pot of the day. Btwn Antonius started poker with free 50 $ starting capital from PokerFrik website.
The problem with this is obvious since it is your opponent that controls the action, and it usually includes some kind of risky bluff at some point during the hand. Anyway if you're looking to start poker without risk you can take free 50 $ from Pokerfrik website ;)
The standard pro oversized bet is 125% the pot but he's original in picking 150%.
Mathematically it's not the right play but it often causes other pros to call because it's so unusual. He tried the same 150% against Meltzer in season 5 episode 13 but it didn't work. That time he was bluffing.
Watching High Stakes Poker I noticed that the bet sizes are usually 45%, 65%, 75% and 125%. It puts pressure on a good player to fold a high percentage of the time.
is it just me or does Elezra look like King Zora from The Ocarina of Time playing poker irl? cuz he has skinny arms compared to his torso....like a frog.
easy over-bet for value, he knows Eli is calling with a paired 8 or maybe pocket 99 or TT or perhaps even AK with 2 hearts or 2 diamonds, because he's got to put Dwan on a missed flush draw.
IMO this value bet is mainly possible because of Eli's horrible bet size on the turn, if he had a JACK he would not bet so small with a double-flush board... unless he knew Dwan would raise a smaller bet, but there was no action before that to give him that idea.
It was a good value bet. Ele could have been slow playing a J but check-flop, bet-turn, check-river, Tom figured his QQs were good and that he would get a call if Ele hit anything with such an overbet. If Ele was drawing or decided to fold a low pair, it further disguises Tom's range; don't know if he was bluffing or had the goods.
Dude looked at queens and didn't miss a beat during his conversation. I haven't seen one player other than him that can disguise big hands like that. People usually shut up and become serious. I guess the secret is that he plays too many hands online and he sees QQ like any other two cards.

90+% of players bet that flop with 3 players. and 90+% of players reraise the turn with qq there. there's just absolutely no way eli can put him on that hand. even a jack probably at least reraises the turn. the only thing he can be worried about is something like 9-8, or a-8. i call there too.
yep and a straight draw lol whats ur point? Are you saying he shouldnt call cause there's 2 busted flushes because that makes no sense... sounds like you're agreeing with me
i am agreeing you just forgot to mention the obvious that he could have put dwan on a busted flush which is what i think eli put him on with that big river raise...8 5 vs 89 or 8a he wouldnt have called, only a busted flush would he call, which he did.... and btw there is no straight draw where is that?
@SurvivingTheHorizon 90% of mere mortals would maybe bet that flop but the only reason would be to protect your hand from a heart, a king or an ace. There is no value here and you don't earn any more information about where you stand once you get called + you give a jack the chance to push you off the hand before the turn. 90% of donks would maybe re-raise the turn but that makes them bad players.
@Nashtak on the flop the bet isnt just to protect your hand- u also get value from a hand like 10-10 through maybe 66 or 55 which eli definitely calls the flop with. Thinking about the turn I think you're right on second thought. I was thinking about punishing draws, but there's no reason to build the pot with just qq.
I guess you would get value from lower pocket pairs but they are not gonna invest as much as you would lose when you are actually beat. If you are beat, you are gonna lose a bet more than you would win by taking the lead here. That bet will also be greater if you start inflating the pot.
Plus, this is a deep-stacked cash game. You don't need to win many small pots at all cost (like in a tournament), and if someone has a jack, you are gonna stack him if a queen comes on the turn.
Well, in short; Betting on the flop wouldn't be a bad play at all. It would probably be the best play if you are a mere mortal, unlike these guys. But never re-raise in this spot. Only if you were playing a tournament and were shortstacked. QQ is not a hand you wanna build a pot with on that flop with such deep stacks.
lol ivey took 3 players for over 60k each without playing the hand!

90+% of players bet that flop with 3 players. and 90+% of players reraise the turn with qq there. there's just absolutely no way eli can put him on that hand. even a jack probably at least reraises the turn. the only thing he can be worried about is something like 9-8, or a-8. i call there too.

you completely forgot about 2 flush draws...stop commenting

yep and a straight draw lol whats ur point? Are you saying he shouldnt call cause there's 2 busted flushes because that makes no sense... sounds like you're agreeing with me

i am agreeing you just forgot to mention the obvious that he could have put dwan on a busted flush which is what i think eli put him on with that big river raise...8 5 vs 89 or 8a he wouldnt have called, only a busted flush would he call, which he did.... and btw there is no straight draw where is that?

9-10 call on the turn bluff the river
