when i was travelling through the himilayas i was going back to my guesthouse up a rocky path one night and it was so dark i couldnt even see my hand if i held it in front of my face.

there was a storm over the mountains but it was silent and distant lightning about every 10 secs or so would be the only light i had to see a seconds illuminated path ahead.

about half way on my journey the rain came over the mountain and hit me at once and i was drenched.
