If you have the money and can adapt nicely to new things, then... go for the Mac, or if you are used to Windows then stick to Windows. But remember with Macs you can boot Windows and Mac on startup you can choose, or run a virtual machine inside of Mac (Windows running in a Mac application window!) Soooo... Good Luck choosing :)

I already know that the new macbook pro would come out a few days after my purchase... I had even knew the design of the new macbook pro before it was released... it is why I bought my macbook pro because I prefer this design to the new version

well i understand but if you waited like a week you could get the awesome new ones. also, i dont know what type of work you do, but you probly could have gotten a new macbook (because its better than the old macbook pro now) and save some money.

Hi TLan14, I paid total of $2232.32 for my macbookpro and apple care plan... it includes the student discount ($200 for the macbook pro and $110 for the apple care plan).

I planned to wait for the new macbook pro but can not hold to the last minute because I really need it for school.

It is the best purchase that I've made... really happy and absolutely satisfy with it...

yes, you can wait to get the new one... most people will do it... however, I prefer the old macbook pro because of it fabulous keyboard and anti-clare screen... the keyboard of new macbook pro is like the macbook air which is nice but not as good as the old macbook pro in my opinion... the new macbook pro just has the lossy screen which reflects the light and provide not accurate color.
