I can't remember of the top of my head, but I think what happened was that Green struggled with this sudden fame and fortune and after a bad trip, he wrote this song relating to what he thought it meant. So "Green Manalishi" might refer to money.

Am I the only person who thinks the opening riff to this song sounds similiar to Iron Maiden's riff on Satellite 15...The Final Frontier when it transitions from the first half of the song to the second half. It's the 4:38 mark in Iron Maiden's song. I know this was written first, I just noticed they're similiar.

I love this song! I love both versions and they each play a different emotive role in my life. This version is amazing, I love priest and this is one of my favourites. I like the fleetwood mac version also as I find that it has a more atmospheric feel. I think the beauty of this though is that the two bands are completely different which means that although it is the same song you can't really compare the versions as they arr both unique in their sound.

I love Priest , since childhood. My older brother had some records of them. They are an amazing band with Rob , an awesome vocalist.
