  • He just played at this charity golf tournament that I played in at coto de Caza golf course in California and shot a 66 for 18!

  • im tiger woods, well, i used to be before what happened, i had to quit my job. i work at walmart now,

"hi welcome to walmart, get your crap and get out. Have a nice day."

  • it is amazing to see such wonderful comments. you all make me believe in humanity. kyle is nothing but spectacular. i wish him and his incredible family only the best. i can't wait to see kyle on tv winning tournaments before he is a teenager.

  • Inspiring!!! You go Kyle, never give up and beat Tiger someday! What an incredible story.

  • I am an ophthalmologist, and it's inspiring to see a child with retinoblastoma living life to the fullest. Dr. Shields is a world leader specializing in ocular tumors. This family is lucky she is caring for their boy.

  • Such a Beautiful Kid! :) I wanna play golf with him soooo bad!

  • Handicap? He transforms what all of us would take as a handicap into an amazing golf handicap. A lesson from him and from his parents: to stay united and help the kid fight this is a wonderful lesson of mariage.

  • holy crap! that kid is awesome. i am 29, can hit my drive 340 yards and i still have a hard time shooting a 41...im a 17 handicap

  • i shot a 38 today and im 13 and this kid shoots a 41 and hes 5 wow!

  • lol 3:57 what a beast!!!!

  • I read about this kid in a Golf Digest. It's an unbelieveable story. Best of luck to him in his career with golf.

  • he shot a 41 and he's 5? i started golf when i was 9 and i was able to shoot 41 when i was 13...

  • 'she ate my eye' The kid's a prodigy and has a good sense of humor.

  • wow thats almost unbelivebul!!!! beautiful swing!! jez that kid is cute

  • Kyle is going to be a golf legend. I've also met kyle, such a great golfer and a nice kid. The next Tiger Woods indeed :D

  • A remarkable story and a great kid. I hope he has a long and happy life & keeps his gold talent as he grows up.

  • Kyle is adorable. What a sweet little boy! Has he met Tiger Woods yet? That would be something to see on you tube!! What a great moment that would be for Kyle! Again, he's a sweetheart!

  • Hum kay...41 and he is 5?

  • its a freakin prodigy and is very accurate with his shots so im not surprised he's a great golfer, if he can live through this cancer to adulthood he can become the greatest golfer ever.

  • 41 for 9 holes?!!! My god, my best is 49!!!

  • hes the man! he goes to my school, but hes moving to california...

  • It just goes to show you that good things do happen when it seems that there is no good outcome.

I've been playing for close to forty years now and I only wish I has some of his talent.

I look forward to seeing this young man on the tour in about 15 years, he'll be as good as Tiger and all of the other good pros's to have played the game, only he will have played it better.

  • good

  • I know him and his sister!

  • How is he doing nowadays?

  • lol ik them to

  • rly, i dont kno kyle but im friends with his sister kristen. we went to school together until they moved to california.

  • God bless this fine young man.

  • I hate to see kids die at a young age. Yet someone was watching him, and shined light apon him to make him who he is today.

  • To God be the glory for the things He has done! I can not wait to watch Kyle someday win the Masters!

  • God bless you Kyle with a long, healthy and wonderful life. I pray you will achieve your dreams of becoming the #1 golfer in the world.

  • Super story.

  • Most melodramatic local news report I've ever, ever, ever seen. The correspondent looks like a child molester and the kid is already learning to use prosthetics for humor...awesome.

  • RJ... Obviously you don't know much about sports or being empathetic, besides the fact that this is a great story that garners smiles and cheers. What makes Frank Deford the right person for this story is that he lost one of his kids to cancer himself... but you wouldn't care about that sort of thing...

    (intro from Sports Illustrated)

Frank Deford is among the most honored and versatile writers in the country, his work appearing in virtually every medium. In the spring of 1998 he returned

  • dont be a dick, ok

  • What an awsome story! We will keep him and his family in our prayers. God has blessed your family with more than one gift!

  • Fantastic story the trials some must go through but God is good and He made us so He can fix us if it's his will. God bless you Kyle we'll be praying for you for a good long fun filled life.

  • dont make this about god and how if he fixes us it is for a reason. I f god could use his will and help people then just ask yourself y id a 3 year old kid have to lose his eye or y millions of people are dieing in africa every day

  • God doesn't wave a magic wand and make good or bad things happen based on what Man deserves.

  • No one can answer those "why God?" questions;God is able to see things in a way that immperfect humans like us are not. The reality is that bad things do happen to innocent children and good people in this world.

  • The only promise that God gives us is that if we believe in Him then we will have an eternity in a place that has no evil, sickness,or sin. God IS good, despite all of the evil that man has created. He said that He has prepared a place for those believers in Heaven that are free of pain and sadness. This story IS about God..as are ALL stories.

  • Too many times we ask why do bad things happen to good people. What we should be asking is what do good people do when bad things happen. This family is a good example of what good people do....

  • WOW what a story.. Me being a Terminal Cancer Patient i sure Pray for this Boy to have a long and wonderful life and of Course with Golf Club In Hand !!!

  • He replicates.... everything tiger does...

His victory poses, how he reacts to missed shots, EVERYTHING. That's pretty freaking creepy.

  • I agree with LandSpeedLouise. Hey Tiger! What do you say???

  • I think Tiger and Kyle ought to have a game together -- without any media around. I think that would be magic for both of them

    --LandSpeed Louise

  • Makes guys like me who joke "I'd give my left eye to be able to play good golf" feel small. Let's hope this kid can grow up and live a good life.

  • let cancer be no deterrent for this kid. the grace of god is with him and many other cancer survivng youths. a senior in my high school leadership class is coming off of his 3rd diagnosis with leukemia, and he is an amazing person. god bless!

  • Sucess story at it's best!

  • inspiring

  • wow, great story,great future

  • Children with cancer are the most courageous beings on Earth.

  • Grace of God be with you Kyle. Keep it in the fairway

  • good luck

  • Truly incredible, way to go Kyle! If I were Tiger Woods, I would pay this young man a visit to encourage him to continue to develope his skills & love for the sport.

  • It would be wonderful to have Tiger look Kyle up and visit.

Youngsters are fighters......that haven't been around long enough to learn how to quit.

Live on.....play on young man....you are so very special.

  • OMG!!! This is totally unbelievable!!! I'd love to play a round with Kyle - I might learn more than what makes golf a wonderful sport

  • amazing story
