What is it about UFO footage that zoom and focus just do not work. There is never anything else in the sky to give scale either. No matter how many of these I see and will see - they are lights in the sky - wow. If they weren't moving I guess they are called stars. My friend and I saw the samething tonight about 12:33 am 02/20/11 same object same colors above West Hollywood going towards Downtown Los Angeles and came back towards us directly above us.. it circled Downtown LA for about 25 mins after News and Police Helicopters chased it, it disappeared. We weren't able to record on our cells phones for some reason.

People tend to forget what UFO means, it's just unidentified flying object. It is a UFO, if no one knows what it is, then that's what it is. That doesn't mean it's an alien spacecraft coming to our planet.

My wife and I saw that 3 weeks ago over Escondido. It was during the big storm. It was hanging motionless at about 4K ft. with the clouds whirling around it. There was absolutely no rotor sound. The white lights on either side of the red one were blinking. Naturally, my camera was at home.

i live in hermosa beach and i have seen this same exact thing,but there was another with it. also it would dissapear and then re apear in another part of the sky within seconds. there were two other lights that would turn on and off that seemed like laser beams in that they wouldnt diminish over distances. no noise though.i watched it for about 5 minutes than it hovered off over the horizon. it was truly epic...

The buzzing noise towards the end and it the beginning is a RC engine, it's either a RC plane or most likely a RC Helicopter. People outfit their RC Helicopters with lights and fly them at night. The black gap between the ring of light is the tail rotor with a red light on it, it will tell you what direction it is moving by following opposite where the black gap is.
