  • Update: Dr. Vincent McKee (a.k.a. Patrick Murray) now calls himself "Patrick Kelly." This further change in name happened because Sky News AGAIN exposed him in March 2011 as a fraudster and let it be known that he went by the name of Patrick Murphy.Do NOT approach University and Academy Tutors (UAT) based in Jesson House, Coventry. If you pass on your credit/debit card details to UAT, your money WILL BE STOLEN.Neither Coventry Police nor Coventry Trading Standards can prosecute him.

  • WARNING TO ALL STUDENTS: Dr. Vincent McKee,who used to run a company in Coventry offering private tuition, called ICUT (UK),has now changed the name of the company to University and Academy Tutors,or UAT (GB). DO NOT approach ICUT/UAT for your tutorial needs. Dr. Vincent McKee was outed as a FRAUDSTER by Sky News in January 2011.As a result, McKee has changed his company's name and HIS OWN NAME : he now calls himself Patrick Murray, and he is STILL DEFRAUDING STUDENTS.Just Google his name!

  • des fous

  • please stop testing on animals of this nature. they dont deserve it. If you want test subjects that are more closely related to humans, there are plenty in jails and prisons around the country

  • @falnegle i fully agree :) to be honest it can be reduced, the ammount of animals that are tested on. i find it so so so cruel and at times very unecassary.

  • @PseudoPoiesis "would I shove it in a little cage" => actually scientists DON'T want to shove animals in little cages. This create extra stress and may complicate the experimental results (i.e. is the phenotype due to stress or actually due to an injected bacteria/virus?) What you see is a result of lack of funding. Do you know how much a lab technician makes? Less than a bus driver, that's what! Do you know how much an average bio researcher with PhD makes? go check it out.

  • @PseudoPoiesis if I want to understand how stress hormones work, I need to induce stress to see that. Same thing with diseases. If I want to see microRNA and its relation to say cancer, I need to induce tumours in animals. This does not necessarily mean the results are not applicable to humans., since knowing what an animal's microRNA does in this species can be applicable to many other species. I'm sure you understand the concept of homologs.

  • @Casshyr training in life science eh? when you really think about it all you need to know is BASIC biology. The advances in science that we are at now have nothing to do with animal experimentation, fact! Every species on earth is different genetically, we react differently to food, drink, drugs etc. even groups of people react differently to the same thing. Immune systems are different, so absol no need for this kind of testing as its extremely unreliable. Doctors are against this. Need More?

  • @divdo1 if you are talking in terms of drug development, i would partially agree with you. but in terms of BASIC advance in biology, no, you are wrong. For example: microRNA. This existence in animal is first classified in worms. If we don't study worms, the discovery of microRNA would be delayed. Another example is IPS stem cells. This is first done in mice, and is now a hot topic in today's stem cell research.

  • May i ask a question which i've wondered to scientist . Don't you feel anything when that pity animals feel distress of your cruelty. ıf you not i am sure you are not a human being.

  • come on then you vivisectors name what good animal experiments has achieved in the the last 3 years, i can name the deaths of adverse drug reactions, how much more life has to die before people realise its all about money, people continue to carry on life how there wish and think there will be a miracle cure for any of their downfalls, when all their need to know is prevention

  • Good old Alexi. Those sick bastards.

  • for those people who are condoning this then why don't u volunteer yourselves to have your brain poked and prodded.....no? didn't think so. Maybe you should consider how terrified these animals must be and the pain they go through. They leave them to rot then throw them out like garbage. Its a disgrace. Funny how people don't classify us as animals and yet scientists claim we evolved from apes, so if it would be such a crime to do it on us, what justifes them doing it on another spieces.

  • Experiments such as these leads to greater understanding that could be mixed with technology that would stop these experiments. In order for man kind to ascend to the next level so we wont have to do these sort of things we have to start from here. I have nothing against animal testing for a cause.

  • @Genukie So we have to act like monsters to stop ourselves becoming monsters? You talk as if we are almost God like. what's the next level, invincibility? We will never be rid of all diseases, so the scientists will never cease from harming animals in such a way as they do in the video. Man-kind has been a plague on this planet in the short time we've been here. For any good we've done we've done 1000x bad. Self destructive species. I'm a positive guy but this vid makes me sick of my own kind.

  • it's funny how only a few sane people comment on these vids.

the ones who think this is fine and ok - insane

the ones who say we should do this on humans - insane monsters

i wouldn't condone doing this shit to Hitler or Stalin

  • dislike watching this

  • Why do these narrator's alway sound the same, and always make it worse than it is. You don't have to make it worse, it's bad enough.

Remove creditabilty, and let the animal suffer more because the labs can say their not giving you the whole truth.

Just put it out there, the whole video.

  • “Animal studies are done for legal reasons and not for scientific reasons. The predictive value of such studies for man is meaningless.”; - Dr James D. Gallagher; Director of Medical Research; Lederle Laboratories; Journal of the American Medical Association; March 14 1964.;

  • how can these people live with themselves... Such a person is without a doubt unable to develop a proper relationship with people in his life. One cannot open himself emotionally to a partner and friends and feel compassion yet at the same time shut down emotionally while doing this horrible evil experiments. They must have such a bad vibe about them cause this wrong on so many levels...

  • that is so fucked up.

  • All what man is doing to an animal, will be fall back on him.

  • This truly breaks my heart.

  • I am by far an animal rights person, but after I saw this vid my mind and emotions went to work. Yes, we humans are the superior species on earth, but what I saw here was morally wrong. Though animals may not live as humans do, they still have feelings and emotions very similar to humans. Personally, I find it sub-human to capture or raise animals to confine in a cage and give them diseases or do other irreprable damage in the name of science. Humans have created most diseases that exist

  • This is so sad but we do need to use the experiments but y dont we do them on criminals such as people who will die in prison and need all this pain not these poor animals its so sad to see them lil monkeys fiting and in poor conditions im a metal health nurse and work with people with brain damage and problems and take alot of medication but i still think rapistes and murders should be experimented on not these poor darlings... x

  • Will this evil ever stop ?

  • the squeaking alone could drive a person nuts!

  • i cant beleive this horrible crulity humans do to the creatures who were here first if we want to see what things do to use for our personal use do it on people!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i cnt beleive a university did this >={ i hate humans

  • Makes me ashamed to be part of the human race.

  • Does anyone know what they did to the scientists? Hopefully at least a very long prison sentence. Anyway it's good to see an animal charity which gives a reasonable argument rather than PETA which just uses shock tactics and others which resort to terrorism.

  • "Animal experimentation is not necessary. It is expensive, inaccurate, misleading, and consumes limited resources

Non-Animal Methods of Scientific Research reflects true progress-producing, accurate, predictive and applicable results. They offer real, immediate insight toward effectively fighting human disease.

  • Wicked. Truely wicked.

  • While I agree 100% that primate experimentation needs to stop, I find it odd that the primate's intelligence and family bond is the reasoning for such strong opposition to it. When you consider that a rat is as intelligent as a toddler, and also has strong family bonds, but few people care about them, you realise its a little hypocritical.

  • The Human animal is a disgrace!

  • As long as we continue this horror we will never fully evolve. These acts keep us retarded in our advancement. Shame on us all.

  • i will support ........

  • From a moral perspective, animal experiments are abhorrent. However, it is even more important to focus on the human cost of animal tests. Big pharma would love nothing more than to spread the idea that it is a choice between a human and an animal, it is not. These tests are unscientific, they have stalled progress, many have died from tested drugs.

Watch: The human cost of animal testing (here on YouTube)

Only buy products from companies that dont test on animals & let companies know.

  • These cruelty is useless and sickening. My mind is poisoned because of the B.S. from vivisectors. They are in a dead end, and they know it. I wish them the same hell they give to these poor animals, (and also they are paid for this "work"! ) and the results would be much more of benefit to us. They are delaying the advance of real Science! Without respect for life you will never get anything good! I wish them the worst! And then I will "LOL"

  • I can hardly watch, but cannot look away. If I thought that a cure that might save my wife or one of my children was going to be found by animal testing or even wholesale slaughter, not only would I allow it, but I'd do it. But neither I or my wife nor my children would accept the cure if we had a choice. I don't hunt, but I would to feed my family. I would use my utmost care in placing an accurite shot to speed the most humane death that I could provide. What hunters call an "ethical shot".

  • this is one, of a long list of cause, explain why human are sad!

  • These monkeys remind me of gremlins. =p

The thing about testing drugs on animals is that it's not at all accurate. I honestly don't know how they justify it. Scientist know how atoms work and how certain compounds work together. Animal testing is something that's a waste of money. Create something that you think will work and try it out on particles of a disease. You can monitor it's affect with a microscope.

  • END ALL TESTING ON ALL ANIMALS

  • NEIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNN!!!

  • Whats the problem? Remember. Pretty much every drug and treatment you have was tested on animals first.

If you object, Ask for a treatment that hasn't been tested on animals.

    Get well soon!

  • New Labour were elected to power on the compassionate ticket in 1997. Promising genuine change in vivisection they promptly sold us all down the river.

This June 6th let them know how you feel.

  • these experiments are unfortunately the way that we learn. its either trial and error with monkeys or with human beings. its a tough but easy choice.

  • i completly agree all these people who bitch and moan about these filthy vermin would change their minds pretty quikly if they had a loved one dying and a drug that had been tested on monkeys could save them.

  • I am convinced that human beings are completely wack and out their minds to think this practice is acceptable. There's ways to get things and then their's ways to get things. And this ain't it.

  • This is absolutely gratutious

  • Labortory animal abuse happens because of human fear for Death. Human inflicted so much pain on less privilegded species because of our ignorant fear. Nature however seems to have it's plan. No matter how hard we try, new diseases keep coming up. A vicious cycle.

  • All these happen because human fears death. Human inflicted so much pain on less privileged species out of this selfish fear. But death is just a matter of time. It's Nature! Sometimes nature seems to have its plan. No matter how hard human tried to avoid death. New diseases will keep coming up. A vicious cycle.

  • So horrible..

  • The thing is, testing on closely-related animals is done because human testing is illegal and yet we (humans) have to come up with a way to cure diseases. What are we (humans) going to test on, insects? flowers? Thymonico you essentially say "dont do what you dont want others to do to you" and i completely agree BUT youre not talking about a medical procedure there, you're just describing torture. Im against torture but i support medical research

  • these who did that is not humans, they are not even animals, animals is not so cruel, they are devils

  • cambridge is humans stupidness university over the stupid world, a lot os fuman is not value to walk on earth

  • Hopefully with research like this we can develop new surgeries for people who can't rotate.

  • this resurch is vital for medical advansements.

let a few of them have a very nasty death or us have a huge number of early and unpleasent deaths.

  • whats the point of living forever? if your body fails to keep you alive for as long as you want, tough luck. thats life for you.

imo theres no point in brain testing like this. It's just cruel and cannot be compared to killing an animal for its meat, where the animal atleast doesnt suffer for long.

  • "a few dead monkeys..." pls think deeply: monkeys are killed by tthe housands, and we still need to pray not to get cancer, because these medical "mafia" still do not have the cure nor vaccine. Think about the millions of dollars goverments worldwide waste in these cruel abuses. To me this is another sign of how low humans can get . It breaks my heart to watch, think, remember these poor creatures who are paying for OUR greed and dishonestly with their own lives....

  • I feel strongly against animal testing because the animals are not taken care of probably, they feel serious pain due to the testing and that the testing is not accurate. Animals systems do not work the same way as humans do so i see no sense in this. Please stop hurting these animals, they have not done anything to deserve this.

  • Sadly most people dont have feelings in this world..

  • I want to say that I don't support this kind of research but at the same time I do. Its a strange issue that I can't work out myself. The shock value of these videos is amazingly strong on my emotions but at the same time my curiosity overpowers my feelings of remorse for these sad creatures. It is an issue that i feel any mere mortal human cannot adequately draw the line on. We could always perform these experiments on human prisoners but who is to decide who is guilty or guilty enough?

  • I think the public should see this it should be on TV and set to our Senators ... animals are different..there is nothing they will learn from these tests...but torture...people who work here are sick people if they could not do this to animals they would hurt humans....but yet the people just pay the taxes don't ask where the money is going just complain how high the taxes are...well take a look people that's what your paying for this torture this killing. Sleep well everyone

  • Can't believe people still use the argument that nothing can be learned by animal testing because they are too biologically different. Unless you're a creationist I don't see how you can say that. They wouldn't use this argument when trying to convince you that pesticides designed to kill the greatly different insects in your lawn is bad for people too.

  • I could say so much things about this video. But I'll narrow myself. Testing on animal is not entirely wrong, let me explain what I mean. animal testing for let say cosmetics and those sort of thing is stupid. But testing for medical reason is not all that wrong. I mean you don't really need cosmetics to survive do you? But scientists do this to help save your life, if it was me I would let you die because i think humans are unworthy and some deserve to die the way these animal do.

  • i agree but sometimes it's totally unnecessary, like how does watching and counting how many rotations a monkey does in a small cage benefit medical research?

  • I think the scientists should have done to them what is inflicted on the primates

  • have you ever eaten meat or used an animal product ?

in which case should you and almost the entire human population be killed ?

this is just another method of utilizing animals

  • JRFrancisco20088, you are heartless.

  • The matter here is If we are the ones with "better" brains. Why using it agains creatuers less "capable" then ours. Thas the handle of a weak soul. When a tiger strikes it strikes to kill it does not torture the animal biting it 1 bite a day. It kills to live. We kill for fun aparantly. ANd yes we shoudl also care for poor children But theres no diference realy. Once you can define suffer by seeing it it will not matter if its a bleeding dog or a man. Both feel pain adn we can all see it on them

  • All of you who say "I wanna kill these people!" Thats what you're doing to other animals by eating meat. You don't want them to hurt this monkey, You're hurting cows, pigs, chickens. Animal testing is done every day, but we don't do anything.

  • No..because it's part of human nature to eat meat. But it also depends if the animal was from a free range or one of those battery farms. Animals in free range live a good and healthy life before being killed whereas battery farming isn't. Also animal testing is sometimes unnecessary like counting how many times the monkey spins in a cage!

  • Ah, humanity. We would rather throw away and waste food in restaurants than feed starving people. What's a few dead monkeys? The universe is totally meaningless.

  • "What's a few dead monkeys? The universe is totally meaningless."

Would you like me to torture you; I could chop of you fingers, one, by one, by one...?

Whilst I'm finished with chopping off the fingers of your right hand, please tell how the pain you feel doesn't matter and ask me to continue because it doesn't matter. You don't like to be tortured, why shuold others?

Don't tell me that pain and love doesn't matter; not when we can clearly feel it!

  • how do theses people sleep at night music4you99 is so right

  • I don't get it. There are lots of criminals and politicians.. why can't these brainiacs test on them? These drugs are made for people don't they? So why can't they be tested on humans? No one will miss them.

  • probably one of the most utterly interminable and mornic comments I have ever read on youtube.

  • Because politicians and criminals are still human and still deserve human rights. Animal testing is a vital part of the research process, and I'd gladly watch an entire species die horribly if it meant even one human life saved.

  • I am sad to say but clearly this is a disgrace for the scientific community. Under the pretense of working for betterment of humanity at large they create so much suffering for individual living beings. They don't know what life is in the first place but still try to manipulate nature.

  • experiment on the scientists.

  • Agree !

  • If we are going to see monkeys as caring beings, then we might as well as judge them as ones too. Perhaps filing one monkey killing another, would mean that the killer monkey is guilty, and thus now viable for as just as possible experimentation. We need this to be done. And considering how these monkeys live, compared to what happens to them in the wild it is not a long streatch.

  • This is just cruel and anyone who can do this and not feel guilty has no conscience .

  • though monkies are our closet relatives...the research and data that they obtain will not have the same affects on humans...any research that they recieve is not the same if done on a human....it just doesnt make sense to me to do these things to animals to try and mimic the effects in humans because it would never be the same....im sure if this is done to ppl...than only than would everyone say its wrong...but these animals feel just like us and with that it make it just as wrong.

  • I think you've fundamentally missed some of the concepts behind scientific research. I advise you become better informed.

  • I just think that if the scum who do these horrible thing's to animals had it done to them, they might think different!

You will never convince me that animal testing is right, NEVER!!

It will come to an end one day, and I hope that I am alive when it does.

What gets me is that there are ways to test thing's without using animals, and yet people don't do it.

  • Yes I am a vegetarian and I believe that any animal has rights like we do. People get arrested and banged up for murder ABH etc, so why r the cruel bastards in labs getting away with it, I tell you what If I ever meet someone who does this for a living I will do serious damage to them, I would enjoy watching them being in pain and Iwould force chemicals down their throats and see how they like it,I would make them so scared.

  • ha, talk about practising what you preach. You say all this stuff about how you hate abuse to animals and people being locked up for Actual Bodily Harm, and then you say you'd do "serious damage" to humans yourself. Its mindless undereducated thuggishness such as that (and similar acts of destructive barbarity advocated by animal rights activists) which is one of the many banes of society.

  • Craig1377 has a point. It's not the fact

that he believes in non-violence but yet

he wants to beat up the people that do

this, he's saying that if someone does

to them what they do to these animals,

it might make them think twice. Oh,

and btdubs...learn how to spell. PRACTICING has 0 "S"s.

  • Before you embark on a journey of revenge, dig two graves

    Confucius

  • Your saying that is is ridiculous to test on a human, which in terms means that a humans life is more important than that of an animal.

I totally disagree, and would like to know how you get this??

  • Yes, I believe a human life is more valuable than that of an animal, and you're in a very small minority if you don't believe that. In a civilized society, human rights preail over animal rights every time, hence the reason there are laws on human rights, but only a few concerning animal rights. Are you a vegetarian then? In what sense do you believe that say, a chicken, is comparable to a a human in any sense??

  • @capaldicorporations There is nothing to weigh up as human med. cannot be based on animals...Dr. Richard Klausner, as director of the US National Cancer Institute, plainly states:

"The history of cancer research has been a history of curing cancer in the mouse... We have cured mice of cancer for decades - and it simply didn't work in humans." curedisease. net mrmcmed. org pcrm. org vivisectionresearch. ca speakcampaigns. org

  • @capaldicorporations , you are an ignorant person! only because you have an opposable thumb and slightly bigger brains, which, clearly you do not use, doesn't mean that you deserve to live and be happy and those poor creatures don't! i would like to see you to be experimented on by more advanced aliens (if they are exist) , how would u like that ?

  • animals may not be humans, but that does not mean we should treat them with any less decency that we want for ourselves...to make matters worse ppl get very upset when ppl treat animals like this but it also happens to humans. this is not right.how do we feel that we are obligated to treat animals like this.....not to mention the food we eat gets treated even worse. i think if there should be testing...it should be on people who have a choice not animals who are like babies.

  • I totally agree, test on scum that are in prisons, nobody cares about them. I've been saying this for years, regardless of what people say like 'it's for the greater good", I think that it is WRONG and MUST stop now, we can no longer allow this to happen. They are not ours to test on, it's like taking a woman's baby and saying fuck you I'm testing on your baby and there is nothing that you can do.That would not be allowed would it, it's exactly the same thing that happens to the animals.

  • its not the same at all!! Humans have entirely different genetic complexities. I can't believe you are so pig-ignorant, it isn't like taking a woman's baby at all. and to state that testing on humans is preferable to testing on animals is so utterly ridiculous. testing on prisoners???!!!!! fucking hell you really are a moron. What if they've been falsely imprisoned? think before you advocate such idiocy

  • What about on prisoners that have previous criminal record[S]? - and by this i mean murder or rape etc. Chances of false inprisonment are very small especially under these circumstances so what other arguement would go against mine now? - Just wondering.

  • I agree with you on the food issue, but it is entirely different to issues craig1377 is talking about. Mass produced foods such as chickens are kept in appaling conditions and mistreated purely for the increase of profit margins, whereas the majority of animal testing is done in the hope of curing an illness etc.

  • Can you explain to me why you think that testing on humans is preferable to testing on animals is so utterly ridiculous please?????

As I think that testing on animals is utterly ridiculous!!

Why not test on prisoners, they had their chance!!

  • I'll give it a shot, but as I said earlier, its hard to convince someone who's mind's already made up.

The human genome is very different and much more intricate than that of any other animal, hence the reason we are far more sophisticated mentally and metaphysically. This in turn means our central nervous system is far more complex than that of any other animal. Put in terms you might understand, humans feel pain much more vehemently than all others in the animal kingdom.

  • And as for the prisoners argument, there are so many flaws that i cannot be bothered to list them all. An obvious one would be; what if the prisoner was falsely imprisoned and is completely innocent?? Ever heard of Aribert Heim? look him up.

  • I understand what you are saying, but why are you telling me that humans are more complex than animals??

What you said about humans feeling more pain than animals is stupid, r u like these people who think that animals don't feel pain??

  • No, I didn't say that. Of course animals feel pain. You don't know what you're talking about. Of course humans are more complex than animals! otherwise it'd be the animals doing tests on humans. It is ridiculous to suggest we ever do such tests as the ones in the videos on humans, prisoners or free men

  • Why not we do it to animals, why is a humans life more valuable than that of a human??

  • what? that made no sense to me whatsoever

  • thats whats wrong with people like you, there's absolutely no convincibg you that just maybe, animal testing is necessary for the greater good. For all you know, one of your relatives or ancestors was cured of a sickness due to scientists, who are in turn ridiculed by the very people they helped. And if you're puerile enough to believe ANIMALS ARE NOT HUMANS, then you know nothing about genetics, and need to wake up to the blatant facts condoning animal testing, which are in abundance!

  • Im an atheist

  • I suspect that short of typing out a natural sciences degree in a comment box, it would be impossible to answer that question.

  • christ, i loath these animal rights campaign. the worst are the people who support the campaign purely because the animals look cute.

  • Shut up dick head, we need this to stop as it is not fair on the animals.

It's not about them looking cute,it's about the barbaric cruelty that they do to the animals.

Would you like it if this happened to you or your children or your pets??? I bet the answer would be NO!!

  • I find it sickening that you compare animal suffering with that of human suffering. We take for granted a veritable plethora of medical amenities which, without scientific experimentation on animals, would not be available to us. As a student at Cambridge (NOT reading any sciences), i feel deeply saddened that a minority of the public are still ungrateful for the unfathomable medical advancements some of most brilliant scientists in the world have brought through the means of animal testing.

  • watch?v=2YC7EoPO1wg&feature=related

    That looks horrible as well!

  • That is horrible but it is unfortunately necessary.

  • My supervisor and myself in cambridge are involved in monkey experiments. They do provide a lot of valuable data, take any neurology book: vast majority of what we know comes from animal experiments. Scars look horible but we try to minimise the amount of pain (anestetics ect) and all labs are carefully controlled. I'm not saying what we do is nice but it is necessary so when your grandfather gets alzheirmer we'll be able to help him

  • @rhianka Damn you and all who do all these horrific things to other living creatures. That has not help yet anybody to get a cure / vaccine for our brain diseases. Stop that big lie that "it is going to help" , and all the medicines coming fro this sh.. are doing us more bad than good. Stop the lies!!! How can someone trust in another who do not care at all about the lives of other living beings. If you want to be considered a real scientist, go to hadwen trust. Or offer your own brain.

  • @rhianka “More than 800 chemicals have been defined as teratogens in laboratory animals, but only a few of these, approximately 20, have been shown to be teratogenic in humans. This discrepancy can be attributed to differences in metabolism, sensitivity and exposure time.” (Dr Beat Schmid, Trends in Pharmacological Sciences; 8:133, 1987) Animal experiments are not predictive, they are retrospective curedisease. net

  • @rhianka and why not to use none animal alternatives, they are available! humans are so silly! that grandfather you referring to is gonna die anyway, so will you and i. So what exactly the point of torturing living things then? as for the care animals get in labs, please, those poor things being treated like dirt! ps. why dont you read the book for valuable data, instead of conducting the test that have been done ages ago? cause u like to torture and kill?

  • @rhianka Thats ridiculos, because its not comparable!

You are no worthy human to me!

  • wtf, jesus christ i hate the human race. we are discusting. bless them :(

  • Psychology, neurology and reproduction IS medical research. More or less 100% of primate research in the UK is for medical purposes.

  • You know what, pretty much all kind of these stuff are funded by government. Think it yourself.

  • what? your response really makes no sence, im not an american, im canadian so I really dont kno what your talking about?

  • Then forget it. BTW, I never know there is such huge difference between Americna and Canadian English.

  • nope, you just dont have proper english.

There isnt even a difference, if you cant see your errors when it comes to your grammar then you should really go take some lessons (not trying to be rude or anything) and this isnt about are grammar issues, its about circus acts being WRONG.

  • poor guys!! let em go!

  • Is this what being a human being is all about?

    Waiter! Check please!

  • What sweet little monkeys!

How could a person have so little conscience?

    Sick freaks.

  • Cambridge is filled with sick freaks >:(

btw, before someone shoots me down saying that i know nothing, I live just outside so shut it.

  • The world does need a certain amount of freaks, doesnt it?

  • Yea you are right, it's pretty sick. But this what human is.

  • If we had spent as much money on testing herbal medicine as we have on synthetic pharmaceuticals (which still haven't found the cure for even 1 disease besides like polio) on animals or even people, we would have the cure for cancer & many other diseases...The reason diseases like cancer are so prevelant today is because we pollute our environment with toxins (i.e. mercury, cadmium & other poisons from coal burning)...before industrialization cancer was a rare disease, now what does that say???

  • However the main cause of 'natural' cancer is old age...

  • They want u 2 buy in2 their justifications for animal testing so they can create a new drug that is less effective than botanical (herbs) medicine that u can grow in ur backyard so they can make $...The real cure for diseases actually lies in nature, herbal medicine has been proven 100% more effective than any synthetic chemical a pharmaceutical company has ever created & thats what they dont want you to know, so u'll buy their meds..Ex. Marijuana anti-cancer properties when taken orally

  • This is sick...the fact that governments allow torture of animals is simply pathetic considering most of the testing doesn't generate any usefull data in curing illnesses & 9 out of 10 drugs tested on animals that hit the market still cause harm to humans, dont you think we'd have learned by now that animals are different than humans...Alot of the testing goes on in privately owned pharmaceutical companies to see what the toxic effects of their new drugs are so they can make billions off them

  • this will have to happen until we find a better and more effective way...sadly.

  • Well untill everybody turns vegetarien, don't even begin to start throwing rocks at science! Ever seen what happens to millions of cows everyday at a kosher slaughter house? Atleast theese experiments are for the good of the human race, and not so you can get a tasty cholesterole bomb of a snack!

  • WHats the point, they are like us. Its like living one of those demented SAW horror movies for the monkeys. Can you imagine bieng perfectly healthy then waking up and having a shaved head and a massive scar across the back of your head with stitches in it. Also the pain they cause you, its sick and twisted to give healthy monkeys brain damage. Its sick.

  • There is nothing to compair. If it means I die of brain damage so these monkies dont get mass murdered it is worth it! the ends dont even begin to justify the means.

Do you support human testing?! cause what they are doing to these poor monkies is just as bad a human testing!

  • Its sick, but do not let emotions run your decisions. Research about how much the university has learned then compare the two, then make your decision!

  • that's pretty sick.

  • fuerTiere can you translate that into english . I dont speak german, if that is german. Thanks. If your in the EU is there anything you can do to help stop this.

  • what can we do to stop this!?

  • you can stop fapping to this.... thats a start

  • god will judge em. they will see.

  • this is extremely inhumane!

    you sick people!!!

  • stop animal abuse!!!!..Cambridge University students are still STUPID!!! there is nothing smart about animal torture!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • they are using the wrong breed of monkeys!! these are capuchins? or marmosets!!?.. these are endangered!!!!!!!!!!! .... i think the macaque is legal........ (i think!?)

  • omg

  • how could you people fkn do this to poor little monkeys!!

you sick people! what is the point in this!

if you cant test on humans why would you test on animals! they obviously feel pain just like us! so why should you be aloud to test on them!!!!!

    YOU SICK HEARLTLESS PEOPLE !

  • God can't forgive this.

    Poor little angels.

  • im crying :(

  • I find it hard to say where I stand on this issue.

On one hand I watch this an sympatise with the animals, and think it to be horrific.

On the other, if it was someone I loved with one of the mentionned diseases and scientists were struggling to find a cure, but this research was helping, then I have to say that that person would be my main concern.

I don't know whether that would be called the grey area or double standards, but I find it impossible to see this black and white terms.

  • This animal testing is wrong.

  • breast cancer treatment, alzhimers drugs, calpol... or this? i am sad.

  • Aaarrrgghh Sick cruel horrible WRONG!!!! I understand that to an extent we need this knowledge in order to help humans, but omfg I think I would rather live a natural life - if I get any diseases then so be it, I don't want any monkey's suffering at my expense :(

  • I am so upset with these people. why they don't do tests on criminals, rapers, murderers, thieves, etc..? I wish i could put a bomb in these laboratories, like Cambridge University, Huntingdon "Death" Sciences and so on! England is barbaric and retarded! Shame on you British People!

  • hey nt all british a bad and english are not barbaric and retarded sum are but most are not im english and totally against it

  • Barbaric? Personally, I found some of your suggestions for tackling the issue barbaric.

Also, I'm sick of hearing so many comments about 'the British should be ashamed of themselves', and 'only in England'. The UK has more animal rights regulations than a lot of countries, so grow up and stop categorising things to make them simpler for yourself to comprehend.

  • Herein lies the problem! We should be fighting for the greater good (for the animals), not fighting each other and which country people reside. We need to unite and help the animals, first and foremost.

  • omg. those monkeys were so cute. im just wondering... what type of people would actually be able to do this daily? you must be very sick and heartless. omgggg that was bruuutaal if so many people disagree then why hasnt it been banned yet?!

  • thanks to this video....im wondering....anyone know how to contribute to cambridge? i feel this research is necessary ....thank you BUAV for enlightening me

  • You can contribute to Cambridge by helping stop the cruel and unnecessary experiment which they perform. Wanna contribute to others in the same way? STOP ANIMAL TESTING!!! There is no good reason to do it. Animals, no matter the species, are not built like humans and the "research" cannot help us.

  • it's disguisting and the poor inncoent things don't deserve it whatever you say. It makes me cry - especially due to the fact that most of this testing is not even necessary (he even says it!). Wait for the alternatives. It's sick

  • I agree that before we had such insightful technologies, animal testing was necessary.

Animal Testing is quite flawed to begin with. Animals and humans don't have the same dna, and as a result many of the things tested on animals wouldn't have the same results as if tested on humans.

Second, we have technologies that are far more advanced than this barbaric practice. We can grow live, human tissue in labs.

Plus, 75 of all animal experiments don't pertain to medical science. :/

  • would you rather they didn't do this at all and not even get the slightest insight into whats happening? All living beings are made up of a set base, primates (which we are part of) share quite a lot.. i agree marmasets arn't a great choice but alot has came out of vivisection, its a necessary evil.. And the growing of human tissues, hybrid stem cells. im totally for just the religious nutjobs won't let it pass..

  • Every single drug we use, over the counter (ex:aspirin) or prescription (ex:zyrtec), has to be tested on animals to see if its safe for humans. Its required by the FDA. So unless YOU want to volunteer to tests drugs, it has to be done.....

  • ok guys - now listen to this.

Animal testing is necessary. Yes, I wont go into why, because it is too obvious.

BUT - i think all those in favor have to admit - it is done too callously, too often without good reason. For example, google Mars animal testing. Their experiments were completely voluntarily carried out, NOT in any way to comply with regulations.

A much clearer and more drastic line has to be drawn when enough is enough. MY FINAL WORD - ONLY WHEN NECESSARY.

  • Just medievel.

  • animal testing tells us nothing about potentially useful medical treatments (and this is proven over and over and over again) ... but it does speak volumes about the depths of cruelty, barbarism, perversion and outright stupidity to which humans will gleefully descend ... this is the same moral and emotional abyss, combined with intellectual retardation, that allows genocide and fueled historical atrocities like the holocaust ...

  • Wow, im glad the narrator looked at both sides of the discussion...because that COULD have come across as a little biased! thank god for fair representation!

  • Although this is very CRUEL, it helps people and other animals... But it's still sad and inhuman.
