The NPCs are by modding. Their probably using a mod pack for this world. You're suppose to right or left click on the NPCs and you should be able to interact with them.

@TheJetnix The only issue with your comment is that the /fly code is in fact a command that comes from mods... however that is not what we are using we are using magic carpet a mod that is used in bukkit. Also how would we be too stupid to use mods if there are NPCs or do those have a console command as well?
