When you look into the mirror you are looking at the "Supreme Self", however you are ignorant to this fact and you don't believe it. It's the same for many of us. This is a clear example on how we let our minds master us and not the other way around. Chanting is a life time practice. The more you do it, the more you will come to believe that you are the "Supreme Self". Scientology doesn't have the power to change Karma. It allows you to address the issues, but not change them.

@marellamofo things that are real, and verifiable don't require belief. You don't believe you exist, you KNOW you exist, because you can prove it, time and time again. I don't rely on beliefs when it come to results, but rather I use knowledge. Show me actual, verifiable evidence, of this "supreme self" you speak of. Yes you use your knowledge, but exactly what is your knowledged based on? The truth is that we perceive the world based on our own reality. However there is the "TRUE REALITY" that is taking place. Because we do not believe that we are the "Supreme Self" we do not understand this true reality. We use our deluded "KNOWLEDGE" based on GREED, ANGER AND FOOLISHNESS, the underlying cause of suffering. NMRK awakens you to the "True Reality".

If you don't have any evidence for this "supreme self" then why should anyone believe you? All I can say is that I have been practicing this Buddhism, and have been a member of the SGI for over 35 years. I once thought exactly like you did. Experience is the "REAL" belief and knowledge when you chant NMRK. If you do not chant NMRK, you will never grasp the understanding of what the "Supreme Self" is. Buddhahood exist with in you whether you believe it does or not. THIS IS THE REAL TRUTH.

The fact that the mute/deaf person is exposed to the Law and that the very same law ( buddhahood) is with in the life of the mute/deaf person, it is possible for enlightment to be achieved. Once you are exposed to the Law whether you understand it or not, whether you believe it or not, buddhahood is possible. You are trying to grasp a concept that goes far beyond your limited ability to understand. Your questioning is proof that there is a connection. You will chant again one day.
