queen is not only the best british band ever, they are the BEST BAND EVER!!! No one ever come close. I mean Queen has many more catchy records than any other bands, BUT of course the other bands like Led Zep or the Beatles or the stones or Cream and on and on and on are FANTASTIC too.....

It's really surprising, I mean look at the size of The United Kingdom and look how many great bands britain has produced over the years. It's phenomenal!

It should have been titled top British rock artists of all time since some are solo artists, but as your opinion it is great. I am glad to see you didn't pay attention to the lazy and cowardly "Sub Genre" which should only be used to keep your music library neat, but never to pussy out in a comparison between two rock artists because as soon as the British Invasion hit, it is all mostly rock. So, Cream vs The Clash, The Smiths vs Buddy Holly, The Beatles vs Radiohead, etc. Are fair game.

British musicians are excelent, I don't know if they're the best but they're amazing! Many of my favourite bands are from England: Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Duran Duran,etc.

I am surprised to see a list with so much minor bands, which doesn't include 3 of the best british bands ever made: George Michael(& Wham) , Jamiroquai and Simply Red.

Yeah good point about Wolfmother, although i would disagree that U2 are Irish. The Edge and Adam Clayton were born in England, and they all have houses over here. I suppose they are Irish, as a band though. Gnarls Barkley is American as well. I made a few mistakes, but this is just for fun, and to see peoples views.
