IIt's almost EERIE to hear the raspy voice of Maestro Von Karajan, like being in the presence of a demi-god. Good combination/proportion of interview and music. Indeed a rare microcosm of a mega world of ALL THE BEST that can be had in this field and genre. Thanks so much for sharing!
The interview extract was taken unmodified from the source CD, and the music excerpt of 'Der Ring' was provided by the creators of the Gramophone magazine CD (which comes with every issue of the mag)-I can't take credit for that. It was such a great find, and this issue (Jan 2008) was celebrating in part the art and craft of the Maestro - so the interview was a neat treat for fans!
Thanks for the view and always great comments, Tita!
I am just so sorry i didn't discover you and your channel a year ago.....I am imbibing so much and really enjoying your offerings ( but then again, this laptop was just given to me as a gift only very recently, so before then, i was in the dark). So actually, it's OK, I will catch up. Better late than later. :) Mil thanks again for enlightening us !
Ah, you are very kind, but I'm also learning so much from YouTube myself, 'tis all a voyage of discovery for me still, so new am I to opera and vocal music compared to many veteran music lovers here!
My channel and uploads are not going anywhere, so they'll stick around for a while, so long as YouTube doesn't go under (hope not!). So do feel free to explore them! I am glad and specially honoured that you find them of interest!
The laptop's great to keep in touch-¡que trabajador Ud. es!
