I met and interviewed Paul in 1987 with CH. I still have the tape. Neil wrote " Black And White Boy " about his erratic and extreme behaviors. Like many with high intelligence and intense creative drive, he suffered...and it was suffering in every sense....from depression.

I cried and went bung myself when I heard of him. I love CH so much, and he was just a very troubled lad with a lot of talent. I miss him

I read somewhere that this was Paul's last TV appearance.  If that's true, then he went out on a high note. I can't tell you how much I enjoyed watching this. Thanks so much for sharing this.

It was his last TV appearance..... It's so sad.... As you say TGelement4lifejhc HE WAS A BLOODY LEGEND!!
