  • until this weekend at aintree master minded looked a spent force but you can never discount a horse like that as it will always come back and give more, what a superstar

  • masterminded is the best 2 mile chaser in the world and thats an end of it

  • fix the rib! The rib is fixed. Theres your champion chase winner for cheltenham, what an animal....

  • thank for puttin the haunters on the champ m8

  • does anybody know where you can watch 08 champion chase video ?

  • my m8 AP has 100 e/w on go native at 200/1 for the champion after he got beat in a novice hurdle. looks quite tasty now, but hes a bridle horse new harchibald, what u make of the champion now with zaynar dissappointin

  • Zaynar still looks value actually. I know it may have been a nightmare to watch for Zaynar backers yesterday but i think the bookies have over-reacted with him. I mean okay, he was 1-14 that day but it was on awful ground. 8-1 looks a cracking bet back on better ground and on a course he loves.

And on Go Native, your mate must be bricking it for the race now! Anyway, he was very lucky to win the Supreme, he travelled superbly but Medermit would have got him with a clear run. I reckon GN will...

  • my opinion, good to soft solwhit wont get beat

  • Doubt Sol will handle the course to be honest. But he does have a soft ground action so he'll be suited by softer ground. Traditionally, the ground will be good possibly at Chelters. I'd be concerned. But he has the form to win any CH. Beaten Hurricane Fly (off-form) , Celestial Halo and Sublimity

  • wit makes u think solwhit wont handle cheltenham, if he wasnt trained by charles byrnes ud be lucky to be gettin more than 2/1 the now, hes been sayin all year, all this horse needs is a a fast pace and a hill, cheltenham willy be rite up his street and hes the one to beat now, forget celestial halos last run anaw, he could be big price although hes gawn over fences nxt year and is be suprised if he won it

  • I'm not saying he definitely won't handle the course. Its just he hasn't run on the course before. Only ran at Aintree (2m4f) and Newcastle (farcical pace). Obviously they'll go a suicidal gallop with a load of pacesetters in there. however, I would be backing something coming from the rear, the likes of Zaynar, Starluck or Go Native. I would fancy Zay out of those lot. Mainly based on his Triumph win last year. Gallopped on relentlessly to the line. Thats good form as the 4th has won a g1 hdl.

  • aye and the 3rd was an arse chasing placepot horse called murad, i was on e/w that day but hes an arse chaser, walkon won the aintree novice hurdle by about 20 lengths so it looked a good triumph. do u not know solwhit is a hold up horse?????????????????????????

  • Yeah i knew Sol was a hold up horse, i was just giving examples of hold up horses.

Still, i really like Zaynar even though he can be a bit of a monkey on the run-in.

  • and i meant Reve de Sivola who was actually 5th, not 4th. RdS won the Challow in December and is 2nd fav for the Neptune.

  • a no the the horse m8 u mention a horse u dont need to teell me his form haha

  • solwit handles every type of ground i was at punchestown when he beat hurricane fly solwit has more stamina then any of them in the race in cheltenham so if he makes the running he will be hard to pass i know the connections of hurricane fly and i know he was no were at his best they wernt confident at all because he worked badly during the week coming up to it so if he runs he will be much better

  • i know the connections of hurricane fly and i know he was no were at his best they wernt confident at all because he worked badly during the week coming up to it so if he runs he will be much better"

    -

If thats about Hurricane Fly running in the Champion, he's not. They found out he had a problem over Christmas and pulled him out of Cheltenham then.

  • its a shame he is a class horse i knew he had a problem but i wasnt sure if they were going to run him hopefully mickal de hagenet will be back

  • Yeah i hear M d'H is due to run either at Naas on Wednesday or Fairyhouse on Saturday in a Beginner's Chase over 2m4. :)

  • i have him in my tote ten to follow and ya would know my luck he would be out for the half of the season

  • ... get done on the line... Sorry!

  • lmao ive already told him hahahha

  • but he looks an e/w certainty

  • Oh yeah definitely. If he isn't in the first three, he have been chinned on the line by....

    Punjabi...

    haha

  • woudlnt rite the him off but that horse has beat me for about 4 good lines

  • but same time, hes an absolute champion n a dont mind diving in to speial horses at any price

  • A P HARRIS v v v i ken

  • hope master minded gives us a perfomance to remember in the queen mother as ive always thought he is still living off that one awesome performance from 2008

  • Woah!!! Why the heck didn't he jump at the last? All credit to Ruby for managing to stay on him like that!!!!!

  • done seriously well to stay on MM!

  • wow. he is back 2 his best. cant wait 2 watch him in the queen mother dis yr

  • Voy Por again disappointing.

if Alan King doesn't think he's a 2 miler anymore then why did VPU run on Saturday?

  • were else could he go, mastermind?

  • Well i suppose there is the prize money. I could've left VPU for the Ascot Chase on Saturday? Proven course form and it'll be his trip. Anyway, i'm not a trainer, what do i know?

  • exactly nuffin....ko we all know fuck all and form isnt worth a fuck at the best of times, IMHO king probably looked at the ascot chase but this race was defo on, so if u have a horse ure looking to run at cheltenham and u need to get a run in, with doubts about ascot being on, i would say 70% of trainers would have went for the race that was defo on, everyone knows voy por needs a bit further these days so if u were taking a chance backing him against the jailcase then hell mend ye

  • I suppose so... Mind i still think that VPU had a really hard race in the Lexus over Christmas. 3 miles for the first time on bottomless ground didn't suit him and i think it took a lot out of him. He finished tired then and was concerned when he dropped away in this race. But like i say, 2 mile 4 is his trip now. He beat Master Minded over that trip at Aintree in '08 and he'll go the RyanAir chase at the festival. 14-1 general AP price could be decent value.

  • i heard a great quote "firstly, viewer discretion. when u wake up in the mornin, does ure face look like how u sound...SHIT, bit of advice wee chap, away n puschase a poop scoop, cause the way u talk ull pickin up shite aw ure life. go native/mastermind get on." A P Harris

  • Master Minded now has NO value. Well thats my view on it. 6-4 is too short. More of a watching race than betting regarding MM. Any other value in that race has to be Kalahari King @ best price 13-2

  • LOL that wis ma m8 a p harris at the bam up, he knows not what he speak, back to more pressing matters, a hink 4/5 is still decent value

  • 4-5 in my books isnt value for a Championship race at Cheltenham. I would be inclined to lay him rather than back him. Don't get me wrong, he's a shoe in but at the prices, i wont be backing him. I'm looking at the likes of Twist Magic and Kalahari King so yeah...

  • aye they seem to have found the key to twist magic this year but hes still a villian in ma heed

  • ure probly right, u dont make money backing short prices at cheltenham

  • a hear the pady boy is back on track, he beat kalahari in the arkle. i was on, u on kalahari?

  • Forpafdy won't win, guaranteed. He stays well but prone to the odd mistake. And regards to KK, i haven't backed him yet but i'm considering him.

  • masterminded jump 3 out las week was probly the best jump ive seen from any horse in my short career

  • Same comment with me. Similar to the one he made at Cheltenham on the Downhill fence in 2008. Was just turning the screw on the race and just winged it. Spectacular. Like i said before, the best jumper of a fence in a fast-ran 2 mile race. Nothing gets close.

  • not trying to sound like i know what im talking about, i could sound like a know nuffin about what im talking about like u do, but hey :) weres the fun in that wee man. anyway, goodluck with ure snide betting

    ps read above

  • Yeah well i'm trying to be a journalist so it helps if i know my stuff. :)

  • Reminiscent to that of the 2007 Aon Chase when Kauto Star blundered the last fence and got the better of L'ami I think that chased him down. Master Minded has the chance of winning his third Queen Mother Champion Chase but I feel that a new champion chaser may emerge on Wednesday 17th March. Bring it on.

  • How did Ruby stay on that !!!

  • 3:15 - 3:18 - Oohh... Brilliant.

    3.40 - 3.44 - SHIT!!!

In all serious now, MM is the best jumper over a fast run 2 miles i've seen when he's on form. Like Saturday. Apart from the last then, he only made one slight mistake down the back when he brushed the top of the fence but that jump at the 3rd last (open ditch) was picture perfect. No point in backing him at Cheltenham, no value. Just sit back and admire his greatness on the 17th.

  • Lucky lucky Ruby, I almost stopped breathing at the last fence cos of the blunder, thank goodness he managed to stay on. What a brilliant horse tho. Get on him for the festival.
