Great Test My Friend! I love your bluesy touch & bendings! Maybe I prefer the SM58, but there's a very thin difference between the three microphones... Your tele gives me a GAS attack...argggggg..$!%&!%!$&
I'm not sure if you can really help with this but I was wondering which mic out of the Shure sm58 or the sm57 would be the best for both guitar AND vocals?
@janey32111 Thanks! In both use, I recommend SM58. However, it has the following main characteristics in comparison with SM57. Because the proximity effect of the low tone is easy to be given, in 58, it is controlled the sensitivity of the low level. A grill is big and has a shield in that to prevent a breath noise.
By this, a little high-pitched tone sensitivity of 58 is suppressed than 57.
When you use 58 for a guitar, you should bring it close to a AMP most as much as possible.
@Prs4ever111 Hi Jamie, thank you for watching! And thank you for your question. When I usually produce sound by means of amplifier in my small room, I like using SM57. However, recently, I'm crazy about line-recording which used BOSS GT-10 and YAMAHA MW8CX MIXER. About line-recording, I think that we can get a stereo effect in a maximum, then it can cut noises (strings noise, Amps noise or something) easily. Does that answer you? Sorry my poor English! Hope you are having a good week! Kauchi
@julian1000 Hi! Thank you for watching! Well, I'm using ZOOM Q3HD (Handy Video Recorder) and the Roland VS-880 (Mixer) for recording. I'm not using PC. I picked up the guitar sound with microphone ( SHURE SM57) , and mixed the backing track and it by the mixer. Then, I sent the sound to the line-in of Q3. Sorry my poor English. Did you catch? Thanks, Kauchi.
@DrTahanBlues Hi Jorge. Thank you for your kind word! I will do a small lecture on the connection of Q3HD in the FSGC site on this weekend. :-) Please give me a second. Thanks, Kauchi.
@hardrokero Hi Gabriel, thank you very much! I bought SHURE SM57 recently. Because it became very cheap in Japan. ( about $80) :-) Your scale video is helping me. Do you have your own band? Have a good day! Thanks, kauchi.
@bennettskb555 Thank you very much, Steve!! I bought SHURE SM57 recently. Because it became very cheap. ( about $80) Then, I wanted to test the line function of Q3HD. It's working comfortably for me at the moment . However, I think that there was not a big difference about these MIC in the volume range which is permitted at the general house...Have a good day! Thanks, Kauchi.

Wonderful sounds and great playing Mr.Kauchi.
I favor the SM57 as it didn't distort and just sounds so nice.
Most record producers also prefer the SM57 to record guitar amplifiers.
