@swampswimmingshrek Thanks for watching, the use of rags comes from years ago, when it was important to keep all surfaces clean, and grease free...Bob
Your video reminded me of a Peter Handford E.P. in my collection, 'Last Train to Watlington' , Watlington being on the closed section of the branch. It featured a very noisy departure by a number of Panniers on the last train setting off detonators.
@acw71000 Well isn't that strange Austin, our first stop was at Princes Risborough station as I'd never been there before, and like you it brought back memories of Peter Handfords Castles in the Chilterns, one of the first ones I bought in the mid sixties...small world isn't it...Bob
An interesting look at a railway not often seen (by me at least) Bob. I do admire your ability to spot and film little points of detail which make your videos so good. Not sure you should mention taking your wife out - what if the rest of them were to hear about it? They might all want to be treated as well ;o) Chris
@khankadet After 42 years of marriage Chris, she's given up on trying to stop me, and to be honest, trains were not on the agenda for that day...Honest!!!!...Thanks as always...Bob
Excellent video Bob! Glad to see that you and Mrs M had a nice day out and about.
Weather look's nice there,we are expecting another storm tonight with 6-8 inch's of snow. Geez, enough already with winter! IIIIEEEEEEE! come on spring! Still shoveling,,,,,Rich
@Bobcatonline It was pure luck Rob, I had called in on Princes Risborough station earlier and heard the distant sound of a loco's whistle, and off we went in search of it...Bob
@EMuksteam This pannier is on loan from The South Devon Railway, they also have an 08 and some other stock, There is a web site that gives more information...Thanks again C...Bob
Great video Bob. I liked the final shot looking through the bridge, a nice angle, as well as all the others, it's difficult to choose a favourite! Another 5* rating from me. Will.
What a beautifull little railway, that would have been a most enjoyable experience to drive a Loco , for someone like me who has never been on a footplate, apart from stationary Loco`s at York Museum, Nice trip out for you and the Good Lady Bob.
@howarth004 Drop a few hints to the family Dave, most railways offer this service, and usually costs between £100 -£200 per session....Go on Dave you'd love it!!!...Bob
only 20 mins away from, its an ok railway was a member for a short time but wasnt to happy where they were heading so i left. its alright ok railway, good video nice.
@bluebellModelrailway It's a shame you felt you had to leave, as these small railways do need all the support they can get....I enjoyed my brief visit and will try and visit again when I'm up from West Wales...Bob
@robmasterman yes they do... all be they don't act like it... i left as the railway was offered a deal a few years ago. Chinnor want to extend to Risborough... they needed some £150k probably more now to get there. Chiltern gave them a deal to restore the link to risborough and platform... then extend the line down to the M40 as far as Aston Rowant and create a park and ride. Deal was Chiltern would run during the week and the railway would run weekends and bank holidays.. they turned it down
Another little gem Bob, the whole place looks immaculate and very well run what I can see of it. Amazing what hidden gems are in our countryside, and most of us don't even know it, me included.
@Bevoin1970 Thanks Paul, only been away since Friday, and there are hundreds of messages and videos to catch up with....just can't leave the house these days can you..:o)....Bob
@robmasterman Tell me about it, you create a monster for yourself when you join YouTube and begin uploading films and replying to comments etc... Know exactly where your coming from Bob, Have fun! :-)
@Firrboxfryup I wish I had the time to film more of the line Jamie, as it looks very beautiful countryside around there...it was my first visit, but I shall certainly go there again.....Bob
