sad to hear that women are not allowed to go to the mosque in north america.why is that?in my place, women can go to the mosque as many times as they want. there is even a women mosque religious club where they perform some sort of religious activities together.the only time that women is rarely or not attended the mosque is the friday prayer because the number of men is so big and it is not enough space even for the man that sometimes they have to extend their prayer area outside of the mosque.

here in germany we have Girls Group in the mosque, or women managing board.

Women can visit the mosque every day.

Masjid InshaAllah will continue the practice of our Prophet to keep the "Purdah" between the men & women during the time of Salah; unlike the church, where mingling of both genders is allowed, Allah swt has given guidance to the man through his messengers-prevent not your women from going to Masjid, but their homes are the best place for them to do their Salah!

There are many other occasions where social interaction is allowed - in fact even encouraged!

@LuqmanNaq Ahhh... you want to outsource your reason and understanding to the Ulemas and Organisations... This whole institution of Maulviat came into place because common people stopped reading Quran themselves. Islam is not only for the so called Ulemas to understand. Its for everybody. Everbody would understand it in his or her own context and then explain it. Ulemas does nothing more than Dr. Lang here.

Making women do anything different just because they are women is irrational... Instead measures to prevent any victimization of anyone by anyone, regardless of gender is the proper approach. Placing special limits on the freedoms of women is just an excuse to continue non-Islamic cultures that want to continue to see gender as a totemic, or somewhat magical, element. It is 'idolatry' -- mistaking what's unreal for what's real.

I think its unsafe for just one women to go at it alone....I think it would be a btter idea if several women came to accompany her for mroe support and it would make more of a impact.

Also, I read a hadeeth in the Saheeh, that the Prophet said: لا تمنعوا إماء الله مساجد الله "Do not prevent the female servants of Allah, from going to the Masjids of Allah."
