I was there and saw this happen. When they were trying to display the shirts they were getting mobbed. It happened throughout the evening a few times. You can't fake a crowd like that. I loved it.
Obviously a promotion for their line of shirts. Message: they're so cool that people will steal to get one. Isn't it interesting that everyone who steals a shirt is thin, young and relatively good looking. An average cross section of average New Yorkers on the street… not!
you can polish a turd and give it a peacoat and fancy shoes, but it's still a turd at the end of the day.
