@XxInhumanToxicityxX Their new album is a little more reminiscent of their earlier songs...but it is still a really good album, just listen to some of the songs, they will grow on you. "Crumbling" on "We Do What We Want" is a fantastic song, probably the best on the album in my opinion, but in general the whole album is pretty amazing. I think with "In Shallow Seas We Sail" they were trying a particular style and "We Do What We Want" is not necessarily in the same style.

actually, at the end... after the "oh"'s that Toby sings, you hear Devon's voice first.

the other voice is Aaron Sprinkle, the producer of the album. Aaron sings, "i guess your love was only as safe as the promise you made... you are the storm, the wind and the waves..." etc.

Toby sings what Devon is singing ("now i am drowning in your shallow sea..."), only a few octaves lower.

in my opinion, Aaron's voice against Devon's and Toby's sounds so so SO amazing.

Agreed. Emery is absolutely amazing. If you really pay attention to their songs you will notice just how much is going on at once. They mastered blending sounds and melodies together as well as harmonizing.
