Okay, thought I was through, but no. Just look at the faces of the old black guy in the audience, and the one on Buddy's face. They know that this music belongs to them. We just fell in love with it, that's all!
The usual at his side: Eric, Jimmy, and Robert Cray (which could certainly be replaced by someone like Buddy Guy for my money) This is the tune that brought a whole bunch around to the blues. Just think, if it hadn't been for a "honky" (and a honky from England no less) this music could have very well been lost. I'd like to see some black musicians take the lead. This is your music! But, we sure do love it! Thanks for posting.
actually it's nice music...but bb king is not as much good as a person can think.....it's not a big deal to play the few notes that he make everytime.....he makes very simple solos....and i think if someone like just a teacher pick his guitar up can made more.....the greats are the ones wich are inparagonable to others just because you can not reproduce the same sounds or the same solos.....with this i mean jimi hendrix..i mean carlos santana..i mean slash...thay are really masters of guitar!!
It almost makes me sick how right next to the most amazing video on youtube is songs like, "Black and Yellow", On to the Next One" and "Hard in Da Paint" all with tens of millions of views while this is struggling to reach 300,000. Then again, it helps me know that its almost us "Purists" wee treasure. Something we can all connect with. It also makes me sick how people bag other artists cause they play different to their favorite artist. If you grow up, you won't have to worry about it dying out
yea it would be cool if hendrix were alive to play with those guys... but as matty mcconaughey would say, "it would be a lot cooler if stevie ray was here man, right on"
i´ve seen this performance a million times. always make me feel good... really. it´s like magic. i imagine in 15 years eric taking the place of bb, joined by joe bonamassa, dereck trucks and.... johnny lang, mayer... i don´t know who´ll be the thirth. there is a very very young player called tyler dow bryant that i think has the potential to be huge
6 dislikes..well..go n try to get a hit by a bus n never come back. The best thing here is 'the guitars' make thm united. It's nice..when people forget about the color o their skin..thanks to music...
BB King, Eric Clapton, Robert Cray, Jimmie Vaughn, Buddy Guy, Jonny Lang, JOE BONAMASSA, Susan Tedeschi, Robert Randolph, Ronnie Wood... and some jackass says it's not interesting? Wow... the world has gone to Hell...
These men may be a little older, may have to sit, but all the talent oozing from their fingertips are all they need to draw the perfect blues picture, only to have them last not minutes, but an entire lifetime!♪♪♫♫
I wonder if there is a continuation to this video. It's quite intimidating, but joyful to watch this authorities of the guitar converge at one point, one stage. Just think of the power, in all aspects, at that point alone.
I know MUCH more interesting blues. "Since I've Been Loving You", for example. And don't think that I like Lady Gaga only because I don't like this. It's stupid.
@JustWannaLoadMyVideo wow... why are you even here if you can't appreciate what is going on on that stage? It's only full of about half of the greatest bluesmen still alive... and you say you know MUCH more interesting blues? People like you buy damn Lady Gaga albums. Oh, excuse me... downloads! Jackass...
I imagine in 10 years, eric taking the place of BB, joined by dereck trucks, joe bonammasa and... a third. I don´t know who. Don´t start with john mayer please.
I have this on Blu-Ray, and 8:29-8:32 is the part I play back the most. I thought Robert could have gone without using the wah-wah for that solo, but it's still sick.
Just realized who the old black dude is - Hubert Sumlin! Thanks for hanging in there, Hub!

Good Grief. Every time they do one of these multi-performaer gigs, the always end it with one of these Kumbayah jams.
It was old the second time it was done, now it is just plain embarrassing.
