  • mk ultra...

  • Dushku is a versitile actress???!!! Come on Joss , you don't really believe that.....

  • @torchwoodlurve1 Also superbuffy is the season 4 finale, what are you on about, season 2 is Angel being banished to Hell

  • @torchwoodlurve1 I'll be honest, I forgot what my original comment was. I seem to remember that the post I was replying to made some comments about Joss betraying his gender which was absurd. I take your points on Xander except to say that he is not devoid of masculinity. Quite the opposite. He becomes a carpenter and a builder, very masculine jobs, and if anything becomes an ideal of mature manhood rather than a simple nerd/jock.

  • Joss Whedon is God. The more anything I see of him the more my faith is strengthened :)

  • @wbright92 .......................really dude. yeah he is god becuase all of his shows got canceled early and yes i mean buffy too. buffy got traded from wb to upn the home of shit shows because it sucked so goddamn bad name any show by him and i can say that it got canceled early.

  • @gotaweb Cancelled early doesn't reflect how good he is, only how much the networks like him or how much people tuned in to watch stuff on the telly. Look at Firefly, cancelled after one season cos the ratings were meh, then became massively popular with the DVD release. And the people who did watch it on TV for the most part loved it. And yeah, he is open about being a feminist and about Buffy being a feminist show, if you listen to some interviews or commentaries he explicitly says so.

  • @gotaweb Cept 4 dude the buffy finale was one of the most viewed shows of the year. as was Once more with feeling, also being an award nominee and many other sodes

  • @gotaweb Buffy was on for 5 seasons on the WB, jackass.

  • @justicegang dude it was just a filler show. it was used to fill air time. dont give it merit just on that. and "jackass" who calls people that any more. and please dont say "i do".

  • Yep ;p

  • joss whedon has done it again and created another brilliant tv show cant wait for the seconed season the cast the script this show is up there with firefly buffy and angel

  • Dollhouse is not as good as Tru Calling.

  • dollhouse is just such a better show than tru calling although tru calling is an awesome show

  • @vargyna They both suck because Eliza is in them. I love Joss Whedon but, SHE CANNOT ACT. He shoulda got a new cast for this one. Just like firefly. Except maybe Alan Tudyk. Because he is always watchable. And he can act.

  • @Browncoatt22 I agree about Eliza. But Amy Acker is amazing!

  • @BambiArmani Amy Acker is much better yeah :) But I still feel that he should've hired a fresh cast. Fran Kranz for example was great, I enjoyed his character alot and he was a nice, talented new face. I think more of that would've been better.

  • I hear that it was Sarah who auditioned for him first, and that she really wanted it, so she got it because she was clearly a woman no matter how young she was at the time.

  • Just give him an open budget, and freedom to do what he wants... Then we will see some great TV!

  • it just occured to me...that joss is a GINGER

  • lmao omg i no! but you still got to love the man he is a freakin genius.

to bad people are lame and his stuff gets canceled :/

rip angel, firefly, and...slightly buffy. :'[

  • ugh Dollhouse almost got cancelled and Im sick of people complaining about cancellation yet they never tune in.... Dushku is the best.... topher is entertaining.... and DeWitts actress is extraordinary

  • they betta not screw n cancel this show like they did to TSCC! that shows had 2 be cancelled for Dollhouse, so live up to it

  • This must be a challenging role for the actors :O A new caracter for every episode!

  • This show has an interesting premise, but what I figure really makes it worth watching is the casting. I get the impression that everyone on this show loves this show. I think most mainstream media misses that part of creating something.

  • I can't remember, do we know long long Echo's into her contract? It's for five years, but are we at the beginning, middle, near the end? I love this series, once again a phenomenal series by a bang up writer and director. Let's just hope FOX doesn't cancel this gem.

  • Amen to that

  • Word. The series is only improving, as "Spy in the House of Love" (episode 9) showed. Seeing another side of DeWitt, seeing Echo build things on her own, seeing Topher outwitted several times, seeing Catherine Lonelyhearts with Victor, Ballard learning about Mellie, Sierra's awesome superspy work, and Boyd being a rock to anchor things - this show is more than worthy of its full run, it simple deserves what Firefly was cruelly denied: its story, told, no matter what the viewership numbers are.

  • I think that is part of the mystery, and I think to reveal that might reveal to much of the series's intent. I like being left in the dark and having things revealed slowly. Most shows are completely ridiculous if told in a linear fashion, it's the mystery that keeps us watching.

  • she's only about a year in, because Alpha slashed Whiskey (Dr Saunders was a doll before) about a week after echo arrived and he has been gone for a year

  • joss is boss :D

  • The more I watch the show, the more I realize just how damn well written it is! The first episode was enough to get me irreversibly hooked, and the most recent one - the seventh - was genius in its intricacies, but the upcoming eighth episode looks like it'll top even the seventh with Echo becoming Caroline inside the Dollhouse... why can't every night be a Friday so I can see another great episode?

  • loved your comment

  • Thanks. Dollhouse is only growing stronger as the plotlines start to show themselves more and the characters reveal other facets of themselves... it sure doesn't hurt that Topher is comedy waiting to happen, but that's just my opinion. I truly hope that those in power at FOX are the ones who enjoy the show, the ones who factor in DVR numbers to find that Dollhouse is one of the top scripted shows on Friday nights despite its numbers being about 1/7 of "American Idol". Keep the House running.

  • Absolutely. Well said buddy. I'm gald the show is still being allowed a second season. I find it unfortunate the types of shows that have become the norm in todays time. Dollhouse, I think, is a fantastically scripted and well executed show. It brings up so much questions of existentialism, evolution, our brains psychological strengths and so many other phenomenal concepts, while blending it all together to make an exceptional thriller.

  • I think it speaks for itself when American Idol has a vastly larger number of viewers. People really lack the interest in creative expressions of ones concepts.

P.S. this show always has a great selection in score/music tracks

  • We don't need a second season of this. We need a secon searies of Firefly.

  • Yes! or at least another movie.

I think of Dollhouse as what River Tam would have been going through in the years before Simon got her out.

  • No. Not another film. Another series.

    Sod the film.

  • I'd argue we need to continue Dollhouse AND renew Firefly. We all know how much Joss likes to run multiple shows at once.

  • firefly is over, everybody has moved on. Thats like hoping for more buffy shovvs.

Dollhouse is different... and Joss keeps adding old cast mates of all his shovvs into this one. I think thats avvesome.

  • wouldn't topher and the doctor recognise him, unless ofcourse he had the classic tv plastic surgery

  • cmon people u cant u tell agent ballard is a doll too, he is actually alpha, he was made to escape on purpose to bring down the doll house down from the outside pretending to be an FBI agent, he can't remember because they can switch personalities like the answering machine thing in ep 6.

  • and he sends clues to himself? No, that would be too simple. I think Paul's just some guy who wants to be the hero

  • That's definitely occurred to me too. It's a good way to mold the police & FBI's perceptions. If you have this this guy chasing the Dollhouse and never finding it--it would strengthen the perception that there wasn't one.

  • I don't think it can be Paul though, he said at one point he had a wife and maybe even an entire family, and Alpha's only been out of the Dollhouse how long?

  • true, but that said, that family is never seen, so it is possible that they only exist in his mind, as would be the case for a doll.

  • Dollhouse is great, but the "volunteer"-scene wasn´t aired yet was it?

  • first scene of the first episode

  • Now I remeber it, thanks!

  • I love this show, last episode was absolutely great!

  • lol @ u, right in your face

  • I just don't get it. I just can't wrap my brain around how Joss Whedon can be THIS awesome and intelligent. I just can't grasp it.

  • @AndreaMGC Because he isn't. And you're a moron?

  • joss whedon is the best; i love buffy, angel, firefly, and now DOLLHOUSE

  • He is not into it.

  • joss whedon is brilliant. fucking brilliant.

  • @toxicwishes how is he brilliant? HOW? i have been watching the buffy or should i say shitty show and have been trying so hard to get in to it becuase everyone is saying ohh buffy this and buffy that so i tried to get in to it, guess what happened, I was untterly disgusted bad writing bad jokes, i mean AWEFULL JOKES, Lets see willow "this is to much i need to sit down" buffy "your already sitting" willow "ohh good for me" LOLOLOLOL I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF AT THE REST(sarcasm) sorry the show sucks.

  • @gotaweb Tbf, Buffy got a lot, lot better in the second series. Lot lot lot.

I mean, if you don't like it that's your prerogative but plenty of people did and if you want them to respect your opinion you gotta respect theirs. Just how it is.

  • @wbright92 what the fuck? the second series? i hope your talking about angle cause that is the ONLY show that maybe is worth watching. and how can a guy sell out his on sex his own fucking gender for fucks sake in buffy he made just about every guy, weak, stupid, or both and he made all the chicks smarter and tougher. bullshit? I THINK SO!!!!!

  • @gotaweb Ah, I can see the issue here. Whedon was always open about Buffy being a feminist show, so I guess sexists might not like it too much :/

On the other hand, you have Angel, you have Spike, you have Giles and Xander. Maybe physically weaker than Buffy but she's a fucking superhero. And they're all great, strong characters who come into their own. Joss didn't sell us guys out. That's just absurd.

  • @wbright92 naw when joss is asked why he is a femenist all that he says is "ask my mom that question" yeah that sure is being open about it

  • @gotaweb With regards to Joss making all the "chicks smarter and tougher", you are aware how Buffy was practically dependant on Giles for like...Seven seasons right? Sure she could hit him hard but ultimately he WAS the man with the plan and so on...TBF you sound like someone who grew up with an older sister ;)
