  • where did you get the pins from

  • Has anyone ever forgot to pull the thing back and a pin has dropped onto the lane?

  • @SmileLanesBowling -- yes, once in a while it happens.....LOL Usually with people who just start learning how to do it...

  • Whats the lane made out of. Like the lane where you throw the ball.

  • @SmileLanesBowling --Laminate flooring

  • Very nice job building that !

  • @Nelvin78 -- thanks!

  • what is the diameter of the electrical conduit and what size is the circle cut out of the sheet metal. Thanks for all the help.

  • @johncar2us 2 3/4 Inches for the inside diameter of the tube, and 2 7/8 inches for the outside diameter. I don' have holes in any sheet metal..

  • How big are the tubes for the pins and how tail. Did you use sheet metal and what are the measurements of the triangle that you made. Thanks.

  • @johncar1us -- It is electrical conduit tubing I cut into 6 inch tall pieces, glued them onto the plywood, no metal was used. The pins are 6 inches apart, center to center, so the triangle is around that..

  • @sjt66 what diameter is the electrical conduit tubing.

  • @sjt66 How big diameter is the tube?????

  • Respond to this video... I liked the Video but it does not show the top of the 2x6 . How tall is it and is ther e a pulley on the cable.

  • @johncar2us top of the 2x6 for the side supports are about 60 inches tall, and yes, there is a pulley and cable attached to it..

  • @johncar1us I see the 2x6 or is that 2x12 , how tall is the top? What kind of plastic did you use for the bottom release? Thanks, I got 2 and 1/2 inch pvc for the tubs. Thanks for the help.

  • how did you build the pinsetter

  • @ZinGreen365 -- out of plywood, and cut holes, then put a border around it with a metal C-channel track for the plastic sheet to slide back and forth to release the pins.

  • Does any one else notice sweet child o mine in the backround??

  • Where do you get the bowling pins cause i see a lot of people have em

  • @4SmileyCats ---Linds.com is where I got the pins from

  • I like the pinspotter!

  • how did u get the PVC pipe that u put the pins in to set them up stand up and not fall over

  • @soccercrazy1013 ---I used Gorilla Glue. It is very strong, I have had to redo a couple of the PVC tubes though....

  • HOW DID YOU BUILD IT?

  • @penguinshamrock --with tools and wood, and spoke to Chad on the basement bowling website.

  • cool!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very, very cool.

  • i might make one or i will buy it off u

  • what kind/where did you get the plastic sheet for your pinspotter? cant seem to find it

  • @ima627bowler -- A friend of mine had it laying around in his garage, not sure where he got it....was scrap leftover from something and we cut it down to size..

  • Really good job on the lane. You should buy a Brunswick Mini Viz-A-Ball, they bowl a little better than the balls from Linds. They hook really well if you have a Formica laminate surface.

  • ...looking forward to getting back to Mapleridge Lane...! I bowled there a few

    times earlier in year!

  • this is just awesome!

  • @TheOnehandedwonder Don't worry. You didn't waste my time. Everyone makes mistakes.

  • @TheOnehandedwonder I'm gonna have to look it up myself, but a ten bag sound like ten strikes in a row. I could be wrong.

  • @TheOnehandedwonder --well first, it is hard to design without adding extra material on the sides of the walls and having the pins bouncing off that, and also I discovered I'd have to move the whole masking unit forward to be able to fit a sweep to have room for it to raise up. The screws are already filled in on the sides, but maybe someday if the engineering is figured out. It was not a money issue.

  • The first throw was not only a strike, but also a Ten Back!! Cool!!

  • you should put up some more vids as well.

  • How did you make the pinsetter? From the looks of it, it looks like it works very well.

  • how much did that cost?

  • well it says we only sell pins to bowling centers

  • @woohoo2u1 yeah do you think you could buy them though?

  • @djm50able maybe you can make up a bowling center name?

  • where did you get the pins?

  • @woohoo2u1 ---I got them at Linds company. They are a great company to deal with, great customer service!!!

  • @woohoo2u1 --- I got the pins from the Linds Company on line. If you noticed, they say they only sell to bowling centers for the real pins, the mini pins are for anyone, but probably will sell the large pins to anyone also. You have to go to where it says mini pins on the site. Google Linds Mini Pins and it will take you there. The pins now are $69 for a set of 10, and the balls are $15 each. The whole lane with materials was around $1,000

  • i want to build it to

  • ...ah, the little pull-out tray to keep the pins from falling through the cylinders!

...how oh how oh how did the cavement set ten pins with such precision...?!?!?

  • thats pretty cool

i wish i could build that

  • thats awesome
