It may be harsh to hear but no such melanin exam ever took place. Skin tissues were destroyed in mummification and melanin might not even be detectable, not that it would matter. This is not a subject of scientific inquiry.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I didn't get an email notification that you had commented. The white crown appears in a Naqada IIIb (3100 BCE) knife handle from Upper Egypt now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I don't know the exact time but it would be only a short while after the Qustul burner.

To anyone viewing this video and who benefits from an actual education, there was no such thing as "Egyptian/Kemetian rulers." These were two separate cultures. The Egyptians were never fond of Nubia, which is why they called Nubians "the vile Kush." Please disregard WesleySniperS1's less than subtle racist nonsense. I doubt he even has any real lineage from Egypt or the Sudan, which extremely few afrocentrists have. Then again, anyone who benefits from an actual education knows all of this.

The incense burner was found in the nation of Sudan. What's cryptic about that? It's basic fact. I even mentioned the specific site--Qustul. Basic fact. "Nubia" is not what the ancient people of Sudan called themselves. That is a Greek corruption of the Egyptian word nwbt, meaning "gold." Your lack of education and afrocentrist agenda disturb me. Scientifically impossible? I often hear afrocentrists claim people of lighter skin couldn't have lived in Egypt. That's patently absurd. How did so many Canaanites thrive in Egypt for so many centuries? Mycenaeans? Anatolians? All lighter-skinned people, and all part of Egypt's ancient immigrant history. Egypt's climate is not tropical, by the way. Never has been. It's an arid, desert environment that was once savannah, but that was more than 10,000 years ago.

There was never a place called the middle east in antiquity.. It is another european invention.. All messopatania and Canaan was part of the African continent.. fact.. Arabs only settled there after islam moved in in 641 AD.. Fact.. Parts of Asia was also ruled by Africa.. ie.. Canaan and Mesopotamia were completely different races and cultures from Africa. They shared some linguistic similarities, but you're trying to paint the Near East as some homogenous, cookie-cutter culture. Couldn't be farther from the truth. What we call "Arabs" are in fact just the descendants of Mesopotamia and its environs. Egypt held dominion over Canaan and Syria for a short while in Dynasty 18 (Tuthmosis III), but after that its power waned. It never controlled Mesopotamia.

Egypt and Nubia were 2 sides of the same coin, just like England and Scotland are and always was. The first non black invaders of Egypt were the Hyksos, but the were kicked out very quickly by the same people in Nubia and the dynastys were re established.. fact.. If they were any different peoples this would not have happened. You arabs were invaders of Egypt in 641AD. I like your comparison about two sides of the same coin, but recall that England and Scotland fought viciously, too. The first Hyksos arrived in Egypt around the Middle Kingdom but did not establish hegemony until the Second Int. Period, a bit later. They were there for a while, and very entrenched. The rulers of Thebes fought a long and violent war to remove them from Egypt. I'm not Arab, by the way. I study the ancient Near East. The Islamic period doesn't interest me.

Listen don't talk foolishness to people, Kemet was in the begining 1 kingdom that started in the south. It did split into 2 kingdoms but they were the same racial group and ethnicity. Your forgetting where Kemet/Egypt actually is located, its in africa. When foreign invaders conquered Kemet the dynasties were already in decline, that is why you find all the advancements made in Kemet was done nearer the begining and not towards the end.

Racially, yes, Upper Egyptians and Lower Nubians were very similar. Ethnically it's not so clear. Ethnicity is more about culture than race, and the culture between the two shared similarities but also marked differences. There was lucrative trade between Hierakonpolis and Qustul, but neither cared a whit about race--they cared about power. Egypt became the first state because it eliminated Lower Nubia as a competitor. By the time of Sneferu, the Nubian A-Group culture ceased to exist.

I like the way you subtly implied that the egyptians had dominion over nubia for 2 millenia.. but records show it was just over 100 years. nubia pre dates egypt.. ta seti royal family is over 300 years older.. history needs to be changed.. the arab invaders and imposters should be kicked out of egypt.. funny how so called arabs never built pyramids in arabia.. i thank u for the post.. but we are not buying into your foolishness

Some people like to try to revise history, but that doesn't change the facts. Upper Egypt and Lower Nubia developed independently and at about the same rate, which is historical fact. Egypt moved first for dominance and wiped out the A-Group culture, also fact. I don't know why you're turning this into a silly race issue, considering they were all of the same racial background. It's their ethnicities that were different. Facts only, please.

Sorry I didn't respond sooner. I didn't get an email notification that you had commented. The white crown appears in a Naqada IIIb (3100 BCE) knife handle from Upper Egypt now in the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I don't know the exact time but it would be only a short while after the Qustul burner.

Interesting video! By how much does the image of the white crown from Qustul predate any images of it throughout Egypt (perhaps you mentioned it in your clip and I just missed it)??
