How much does the battery last? I've heard it needs 8 hours when brand new to charge, but if it would last like 3-4 hours of continuing (spelling fail maybe) shooting at power above 290 fps, it is awesome.

Well you may have already gotten one of those but this is just my input. As a starter AEG, this is about as good as it gets. You can use it for field skirmishes, but the fps is also usually low enough for cqb. But if you like the JG brand and want a g36 of some sort, I would definitely go with ECHO 1. That is, if you have some extra dough for it. ECHO 1 AEGs are definitely much higher quality than JG, although they are almost the same company. Echo 1 purchases JG stuff and improves drastically.
I own a JG g36c, JG G36k, and the JG mp5 Sd6, and a JG aug a3, lol lot of guns.
My recommendation would be to purchase the mp5 as your starter weapon, get used to playing airsoft. Save up for a KWA, TM, classic army, or any other high end brand while you are using the mp5.
I have personally put my jg mp5 through hell and it continues to fire, the g36c is great too but I think the jg mp5 does just as well for what you will be needing.

i can't decide if I should get the fulls sd5 or sd6. Im thinking the sd5 because it has a bigger battery but I am also thinking of the sd6 because it can be more compact and I plan on using it as a secondary while sniping. What do you think?

i use it outdoors because it's too powerful(+-360fps for my JG mp5sd6) so i take a precision inner barrel on it..(it's not a very good idea in CQB because powerful but i dn't know what news about othr JG mp5)

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to re-wire the m5 s6 inorder to turn it into a m5 s5. If you take off the stock, you can see a connection for electronics. I was thinking of getting a solid stock to put a stop to this problem. Has anybody seen anything on this?
Yeah for all you TM users out there, some of us aren't freaking rich, or we have other things in our lives besides airsoft, so either we don't have the money, or think a TM is a waste of money.
the jg guns are lpegs they are mpegs.i have a jg m4 and its awesome.goes through 2 boxes(usps priority mail) from 5-10 ft away.though i know its not as good as a tm,jg is a pretty good brand
If you want a clone gun, yes, they're best of the clone brands. I'd still recommend a Tokyo Marui over anything for starting off. They're not terribly expensive and they're reliable.
The JGs are pretty great for clones, but still not as nice overall as a TM.
That coke can chrono has to go away. It's not reliable at all, and it doens't take a whole lot of power for any gun to go through a pop can, and I'm tired of people saying how great their LPEGs are because they can go through a can.
