The south korean goverment made many deals and treaties with the US after the korean war, they practically integrated their military with the US's. There is even a corps of strictly korean-speaking korean nationals in the US military stationed in korea. Whether those starcraft fanatics like it or not, the US military is going to stay in korea for a long time because of how essential they are to south korean national security. If SK wants US out, they better wrap this little squabble with NK up.

Americans have done a good job protecting South Korea when it had a little and underequipped army. Well they were not there just for the sake of protecting South Korea because they're nice like that. It's part of their interest in Asia. They needed a foothold there, especially because of the communists.
Now, that job is pretty much complete. They don't need to have many soldiers there. South Korean military has improved much much more and is way more advanced than North Korean one.

The south korean goverment made many deals and treaties with the US after the korean war, they practically integrated their military with the US's. There is even a corps of strictly korean-speaking korean nationals in the US military stationed in korea. Whether those starcraft fanatics like it or not, the US military is going to stay in korea for a long time because of how essential they are to south korean national security. If SK wants US out, they better wrap this little squabble with NK up.

It's part of their interest in Asia. They needed a foothold there, especially because of the communists.

Its fucking hell, who dont know that the people who you giving food is the one whos gonna kill you and your fellow the next day.. Its hard to fight the terrorist who all do is back stab or sometimes they just shoot around from nowhere and one of our man just gonna fell down, specially those sniper they have.. We are fighting like blinds in there..For me fighting with terrorist is the hardest

We have never, i repeat never fought a 5th generation war up to now, that means weapons of of similar capability like 4th gen vs 4th gen jet fighters, submarines vs submarines, SAM vs Jet, missiles vs hardware, asymmetrical warfare, i repeat we have never ever fought such a war since WW2, when overwhelming manpower rules at that time, be realistic.

The students in The ROK are always protesting something. Mainly the US presence there. I remember goin to Youngson after Team Spirit in 91. I smelled the CS gas, got right back onto the bus to Camp Casey. For the most part, the South Koreans don't mind us being there, especially the older generation. But it's time to move out of there. The South Koreans can take care of themselves.
