As a psychiatrist I support bullying wheather it be phsyical, verbal, or cyber bullying, because of bullying my business is booming, bullies destroy there victims self esteem and there parents pay me $400 a week to fix there child, btw I don't charge $400 a session, I charge $200 a session but make the sessions 2 times a week, I know it's unethical but I have bills to pay and kids to feed, so it's all good

In my old high school, that 4 eyed pussy would be the victim, not the bully. The only language a bully understands is a punch in the mouth or a fractured scull. Most of them are cowards.
I'm still convinced psychological intimidation works pretty well...
There's a lot to be said for the group dynamic. Just catching the bully alone (which can be somewhat difficult) and ganging up on them can solve the problem. Give them a taste of their own medicine.
You can vent the situation by standing up to them, but then what...if you push hard enough its just an invitation for drive-bys or gang beatdowns...sure you guys felt good for a day, but is it worth never feeling safe again outside the house? But unless this is some privy school in beverly hills, if those bullies got into trouble or anything after intervention, they will just go after the victim outside on his way home. The asian guy stood up for the victim which is good. But he can easily get hurt once they step off school property.. My friend went to a couselor giving the "bully" a week suspension. 6 guys beat him and stole his shoes after school, he had to walk home hurt in socks.
people should stand up, but not just one guy. It takes a crowd to stop it. Its just hard when the crowd wants to see a fight. A teacher has no power off school property, and you can expect a hospital visit if the police get involved. If the guys are bullies because theres two and only one victim, then an individual can stand up and intervene. That would be the right thing to do. But there is no such thing as two...people have friends. Youre safe that day, but what about next week?
That's crossing into another plane though. If the "bully" goes out of his way to pursue this person continually outside of school and all. Thats more than just a "bully" and more than just "bullying" thats a whole other issue as well that would have to be handle by authorities. You are saying once you stop it , it will continue, but isnt it really like that with EVERYTHING? If you put a criminal in jail, it doesnt me he wont commit a crime when he gets out. This is just the idea of standing up.

But yeah, what im talking about is far removed from the range of this video. Ive just seen so many people get into trouble because they stuck their neck out in other people's business. Unless more than one person stands like in your video, victim + supporter= 2 victims.
Also, its not just about stopping the bullying, because it may never stop 100% right; but its also about raising the morale of the victim, so it doesnt lead to depression and other effects. If the person is being picked on all the time and has very few friends and none that stand up for them, that will be hard. But they wont feel as bad if they have a lot of friends, and if they see people are willing to stand up for them.
one person can make a difference. Thats what the point of the video is. Gandhi was just one person. When one person stands up, he or she will eventually be followed by more.
Great job showing how small things are often part of a bigger problem that only the bully and their victim really can grasp. It's important that EVERY incident be addressed whether it be standing up yourself or finding someone else to help.

I got bullied a lot in high school and it didn't stop until I broke this kids teeth one day because I snapped. After that, I was like a ghost.
