Human beings have to cook meat in order to consume it, therefore it suggests that our immune system is not designed to eat raw meat. Even sushi has to be treated before consumption. how is removing all hand guns from public use a bad thing. Nobody is saying you can't own a hunting rifle but this should be a privelage not a right. Handguns and shotguns are used for home defense. An assault rifle, however, is not something I think the average civilian needs. ya I agree about assault rifles but I just don't see how hunting with a handgun is practical although I suppose it is more challenging, but a handgun is designed to stop a human being at close range not for hunting, look it up. I have two safes, one in the garage where most of my guns are kept and one fingerprint safe by my bed where my kimber rests just in case I hear a bump in the night. You can keep your guns safe from others while still maintaining easy access for yourself.

All the gun laws in the world wont reduce crime. Why? Because criminals dont buy guns legally. Gun laws actually make the criminals safer rather than the law abiding citizens. Example- the Clinton Assault Weapons ban. There was no decrease in crime AT ALL as a result of the ban. However when the ban was over in 2004, there was an average crime decrease of 3-4% .
Continued- School shootings also cannot be prevented with gun laws because again, kids cant buy guns. They either buy them illegaly or steal them from their parents, which brings me to my next point. Parents need to be smart enough to keep guns away from children or a chronically depressed teenager. An 8 year old should not have acsess to a handgun. The NRA gives away free gun locks specifically for this purpose. Guns are not dangerous if used properly. They dont rendomly go off and kill people.

how is removing all hand guns from public use a bad thing. Nobody is saying you can't own a hunting rifle but this should be a privelage not a right. Why should anybody be able to have a 44. under their pillow, that gun is more likely to be stolen or harm a family member than actually fight off an agressor. Besides that hand guns serve no practical use and are way to easy to obtain. You don't to arm your citizens to have a powerful country, look at the political tension.

Handguns serve no purpose? Last time I checked their purpose was to kill members of the animal kingdom, same as any other gun. Furthermore, I say let people keep their guns to a certain extent. Handguns and shotguns are used for home defense. An assault rifle, however, is not something I think the average civilian needs. They exist primarily for attacking groups of other people, and some idiotic parents actually let young kids fire the things.

Gun crime has dropped over 100% in the past decade, gun crime isn't as big of an issue as your liberal professors would like you to think. Also, the vast majority of gun crimes are committed with illegally purchased firearms, that is firearms that are all ready illegal for the person to possess. England is an island thus it's somewhat easy to keep guns out, the US is about 37.5x bigger than the UK and it isn't and island, making it much easier for bad people to get guns.

ya I agree about assault rifles but I just don't see how hunting with a handgun is practical although I suppose it is more challenging, but a handgun is designed to stop a human being at close range not for hunting, look it up. I just think the thousands of deaths a year as a result of hand guns proves that they are an unsafe, and you can use every other first world country as an example of how dangerous hand guns are, as most other industrialized nations have way fewer homicides a year.

The Brady Campaign stats use gun related suicide as part of their "guns being turned on their owner" schtick. I have two safes, one in the garage where most of my guns are kept and one fingerprint safe by my bed where my kimber rests just in case I hear a bump in the night. You can keep your guns safe from others while still maintaining easy access for yourself.

When the Bill Of Rights was written the Militia was every citizen that was capable of shooting a gun.
All the gun laws in the world wont reduce crime. Why? Because criminals dont buy guns legally. Gun laws actually make the criminals safer rather than the law abiding citizens. Example- the Clinton Assault Weapons ban. There was no decrease in crime AT ALL as a result of the ban. However when the ban was over in 2004, there was an average crime decrease of 3-4% .

Continued- School shootings also cannot be prevented with gun laws because again, kids cant buy guns. They either buy them illegaly or steal them from their parents, which brings me to my next point. Parents need to be smart enough to keep guns away from children or a chronically depressed teenager. An 8 year old should not have acsess to a handgun. The NRA gives away free gun locks specifically for this purpose. Guns are not dangerous if used properly. They dont rendomly go off and kill people.

The purpose of the Bill of Rights is to limit the powers of the Federal Government. Maybe many of us should actually read that Constitution and it's amendments before we make silly statements.

Here in Texas we shoot people who are against guns. Just last week a local Grand Jury let go a guy who shotgunned two assholes who were robbing his neighbor's house. The guy called 911 first, and was told to not hurt the robbers because they might really be nice men. But the guy said "fuck you sissy pants 911 operator," and blew them both away. Deer overpopulation is a 'real' problem in Tennessee. Everybody I know, including myself, has had an 'entanglement' with a deer at one time or another. When I was a kid, all I ever saw was one 'white tail' jumping outta our corn patch. Now, I can't drive down hwg. 70 without seeing a herd somewhere. That's the hwg. I hit one on at 35 mph.
