This is a very interesting (80's) interview and I'd like to see the rest of it. I'd also like to know who the lady is who asked the questions. She did this in a very sympathetic and truly interested way, thereby inviting Tim Leary to open up, instead of forcing him into a defensive position, which is what most of the other interviewers did. So he talks about his Irish heritage and the character traits that he associates with it, like the penchant for getting intoxicated and stirring up ideas.
i never knew him personally. Leary's value, to me, is as a philosopher and an inspiration to me for self-empowerment. I find it useless to wonder about his ego and his personality flaws. i find it beyond belief that he was so aware of self-awareness and the importance of awareness - yet he wasn't aware of his own flaws.
Low budget crew. Dr Leary is not amused.

Few people are aware that his Mind Mirror program, which he developed with Electronic Arts, was the program which became The Sims.

He was useful, in retrospect, to opening up psychedelics to the mainstream, but he was still kind of a jerk.
