Hi Connor I think you'll remember me (Clovis from Brazil) how are you? We made some trades couple years back,
I have a copy! It's a 12" Demo vynil, it has on side A Fish For Life 7.35 version and Fish For Life (LP version) 4.04; on side B Fish For Life (Instrumental Version) 4.21. If anybody wants I could sell it. Take care, Clovis
How the heck did you find this !! been looking for it on google etc for must be 20 yrs !! Karate Kid 2 !!! How was this not a mega hit ! :-) Thank you.
I kinda think it would be cool if tears got the old "Big Chair" group together for like an 80s tour or something love to see the 7 of them together again.
@Natesot I was wondering the same thing..Ian is still producing music for other artists. I just googled his name after hearing a car drive by my house music blasting.. It was Mothers Talk. I thought to myself whatever happened to Ian Stanley?
Anyone know what happened to Ian Stanley? He was there for the very begining letting them record at his studio what would later becomer the hurting, he was a big part of the begining Roland always says that but he sees to have just disapiered.
This was the only release the project made. The 12" Version is even better, making great use of that awesome bass line and wonderfully effervescent drum pattern. It would have made a great addition to one of those 80's 12" collections? :-(
Wow thank you for posting this lost classic. I loved this long so much when i was a kid and through movieing and years the single kust got lost in the suffel so nice to hear it again. man, i wonder what Ian is up to these days?
It's very hard to find and most of the copies are on vinyl from the 1980s. I'd keep trying eBay and have a search where it emails you when someone has it up for sale.
@connorstreet I just got a promo copy in NM, but I'm in the collecting phase and will only sell if I get a duplicate. Unfortunately, rare records of the 1980s are undervalued generally and are subject to change as this decade continues to garner interest.
I expected to trawl (geddit?) for a while for this gem! I type Mancrab and there it is! Top vid, great song, awesome groove, Connorstreet, I thank yew!!!
I actually had the '45 inch single and recorded in on a tape somewhere. I've never been able to find any more info about this song anywhere on the internet. GREAT find!
Wow! This is an ultra rare video and song. I have heard about this one-off project. But I just listened to it for the first time. It's really good. Nice to see Ian Stanley in the video but really wished Roland was there too.
Also, it is a good soundtrack for the Karate Kid movie. Ralph Macchio is a great actor.
Think I've seen this video once or twice in the 80's. Great to see it again! Thank you!
By the way, the video was directed by Nigel Dick, who also directed Tears for Fears videos as Shout, Everybody Wants to Rule the World and Head over Heels.

I have the 45 inch single and recorded the single on my CD. I like listening to Roland sing this song. This song has a good rhythm.

you have such good stuff! what else do you know about Mancrab? this is very good.

I don't know how I missed this song in the 80's!
Roland was always a fan of the catchy chorus and huge hook. It's too bad Mancrab didn't continue.
