quick question...i got 272/272 cams runs great but one problem is it wont idle right? when i start it it idles and 1000rpm but after about 20 seconds it jumps up to about 1700rpms? changed throttle positioning sensor and map sensor and also checked for vacuum leaks but nothing??? and strategies on what it could be?

Leprkan83, daily driveability is actually pretty good. Just normal driving(city and highway) I average 23mpg. My clutch is a little grabby but that's a given. If your doing a built block and 18's(rage tek has a knock off) then I would def go bigger than a 50trim since your powerband will be in the upper rpm range. Also don't go getting the biggest cam out there just for the sound. The bigger it is the worse your low end power will be.

jw...how is your daily driveabilty with this complete setup....is it harsh...or is it ok when u drive it normal...cuz i kno when you get on it....obviously its a gas hog.....im looking to do a tk motorsports head and block...may dcr stroker.....then a 50 trim or gt35r....but not sure....was gunna go with the crane 18s cuz i love the lope...hope for you honest opinion

I meant that the cams, even if made for the SRT, are from the motor side of power, and not the turbo side. It's a awesome blend. If i had an SRT, i would go with this kind of mix too, like 14s and a stage 1 (dunno if compatible though)

No, i'm saying that it's USUALLY a N/A mod... But it does form a good mix with the SRT. i know they are MADE for the SRT... at least, some. Are thos 18s 1st gen DOHC cams, or specific SRT cams ?

Specific SRT Cam. Camshaft upgrades work and are made for all types of cars. Cams change when and where the valve's open at what speeds. Helps any car as long as the lobes are the right fit for the car and mods.

Thanks! I almost got rid of them for that reason but I blacked all 3 tails, the side markers, fogs, and tinted the headlights. Looks killer and the led's are super bright so you can still see them easily, normal bulbs wont be bright enough. Also intercooler is black now.
