Respectfully, it is a sub-$20K economy car. The fact it has great styling, reliability, and (supposedly for the price) handling and performace is amazing to a lot of people.
That is why it will sell: it offers for on a budget. Not everyone can afford a new Mustang GT or Porsche 911.
For what it is, this car appears awesome, and I may buy one in a year or two if it is reviewed well, as it likely will be.
I'm saving up for a down payment as we speak. If it's reviewed well, once they offer a $1,000-$1,500 incentive on a titanium 6-speed coupe, I'll plunk down my $5K cash.
I would go for a full payment. Taking out a bank loan on an unfriendly interest rate is burdening me a lot. But my dealer only offers 4-speed AT but still, it is a dream to drive without breaking my piggyback.
I will check out the rear legroom and the trunk capacity when the Koup arrives for a test-drive. If it can retain its practicality that is enjoyed by the Forte sedan, I will definitely go for it. :)
If they release that version, yes.
However, the 2010 Mustang Gt is rumored to pack 400hp, making things more interesting.

arent the new mustangs going to be almost 2x heavier than the forte? so it would be a battle of raw power vs hp/ton weight ratio

Well, saving up $17K in cash would take me three years at this rate.
If the APR in above 8%, I won't bite. It's that simple. I have indeed heard horror stories about KIA's financing. lol
In 6 months I will be ready to move on a car, eithier way. This one in particular appeals to me for the afforementioned reasons.

and its poor servicing quality as well. I plan to take the car to a trusted third party servicing centre instead. :)
I am also saving up but on the expense of eating "grass" everyday. LOL.
I am drifted in my decision to buy a Koup or a 4-door Forte. Both have its up and downsides. Hmm....

I hear that. Unless you have kids, get the Koup. It is so choice.

Your right about their financing, the lowest they had was 7.9%, I got my forte financed through my credit union at 4.00%
