I think playing the Bass Clarinet is harder than the Clarinet because you have to use more wind and breath! I think it is one of the hardest instruments to play (not THE hardest but one of them) but all the same I still think it is easy!

if you want to be lead clarinet yes. bass is hard to play higehr nots. like above a high C. but if you choose regualr its complicated rythms

It's not difficult if you pick up clarinet BEFORE the saxophone. But the fingering is much more straight forward than the trumpet and isn't relying so much on embochure for intervals. It all depends on how well you play. When you go trumpet to woodwind, you will not want to go back. Trust me.

U should start out with the normal Bb clarinet because the bass clarinet has extra notes and it's harder to play the high notes.
