The main reason that I watched the show was to see Adam's performance. I think he went out there and did his thing! There were some other performances on there that were unsuitable for kids,. Yes Lady Gaga and Jennifer Lopez did a GOOD performance. Just good. J.LO single is out too early. Lady Gaga stood out for the ABC audience. Janet, whom is my girl, gave a great performance and showed why she still here. The show was okay over-all

Whitney sang great. I had to watch her performance a couple of times. Although, J.LO fell. I still enjoyed her show. I do hate it for her. The fall is all over the net. Great thing, Adam Lambert was lasted. I believed alot of Americans turned the channel, even some gays. It was a little too much.

Adam Lambert to me is in a middle point of his career that could make him and or break him. And tonight I think it is very much so teetering towards breaking. Being as much as you know you have kids watching a show like the AMA's why would you think that an action like that would be o.k. I'm a gay man and I also sing never would I once consider doing something like that. I personally feel as tho he will become a washed up novelty act if he doesn't plan his career carefully.

I wasn't offended by anything Adam did. I looked at the performance a couple times since I saw it live and it wasn't as shocking as my initial reaction. I was nervous for him because this was his first time performing with something at stake and because I feared the heterosexual reaction (I know how prudish many heterosexuals can be).

Many of the performers' microphones were not working properly including Adam's.

Lady GaGa and Whitney stood out for me. Whitney has come a long way from August's GMA. I comment Adam Lambert for having the guts to do what he did. He's gay, so would we even be discussing this if Lady GaGa, or any other female did it to a male dancer. Adam's message came loud and clear that he's gay and STFU about it.

Adam is so talented. He was very nervous last night which made his voice very tight and his dancing stiff. This perfomance is not a true representation of his talents. On a side note, he needs to tone it down. Christina Aguilera hurt her career with the "Dirrty" music video. Even though it was a fantastic music video people couldn't handle the content. Adam should learn from Christina and tone it down.

i feel the sameway about the show. I think lady gaga was the best performance along with carrie underwood. Im a super janet fan and i think she did a great job and look good...buttttttt, i think her weight is taking a lot of her energy and she is not able to perform to her highest level..she seemed out of breath. of course janet was close to this size during the rhythm nation era and control era and was dancing her ass off back then, but she was younger also, which was twenty three years ago

adam lambert totally disgusted me tonight. as a gay man, i was disgusted. everything he did was all wrong. he tried to make a statement and failed. his performance will only be negative for him. his performance will make america continue to say "gay people are all about sex". terrible. besides that, gaga tore the house down. j-lo lip synched the whole time and fell on her ass..she needs to stick to acting b/c she cannot sing. Loved Black Eyed Peas performance..I agree with you on the outcome of the American Music Awards..It was lacking very much, Adam Lambert incident doesn't offend me, nor should it be a topic of discussion...sex sells we have seen worst on Television...I was disappointed for the most part...maybe it will be better next year!!!

wow the first to comment. but i was a tad disappointed with the show. janet was good but a bit dry. i think GaGa had the best performance. Adam Lambert to me was doing to much for his first major performance. Not a very good first impression. but it seems ever since ppl started putting theses celebritites on pedastools and being "stans" they havent been performing to the calibur that ppl are holding them to. which is getting on my nerves

the show was ok, but Whitney Houston and Mary J.Blige were the best in my opinion. I didnt see adam performance, havent watched americal idol in years. I didnt even see rihanna performance, shes not my cup of tea.
