@motorhead1964 you should probably watch the video again, the foxbody got way better of a jump. electrochubb is right, if the driver werent sleeping at the line they would have done better. A good driver always determines the difference in times. so stop running your mouth and make a video of your own...lets see how good you are driving.

no roll cage and the car has run a best of 10.48 @ 133.9 mph on the stock blower. we did retire the car from the track as we finalize the next car. new videos in the coming weeks

Thats real good. I sawGreg Biffle run 10:11 with his '07. He had slicks on it and said it was mostly stock. The 60's cars had nothing to compare to these,except maybe a 427 Shelby AC Cobra.

I drive my GT 500 to work everyday down 2 miles of dirt road and 15 miles of highway. A cobra Jet won't be following me to work and a hemi dart won't be following me to work. I was racing when those hemi's and 409's and 406's and 427's were around and they weren't street cars.

Their were a lot of cars of the show room floor running with the Hemi Dart all three manufactures had their factory NHRA purpose built race cars and today they have the new cobra jet mustang run high 9's straight from the factory not street legal but none the less straight from ford.

Yeah the rear are slicks, also they're probly a smaller rim size because you get a thicker tire that way, with a thicker tire you can bring down the PSI more and get more traction

He probably switched out the rear tires for the run. Probably puts the road tires back on after. If you ever go to a drag strip they do that all the time. They keep a set of wheels with drag tires so they can swap them out fast.

fyi....they are racing slicks on the back which a lot of people put on when they are at the track to get better traction. very common practice my friend.
