  • this is fuckign amazing.

  • For videos on this year's Arirang Mass Games. go to the "Passwordforgetter" channel - the full show in all its fantastic glory !

  • People of North Korea, stand up and fight for you rights. Refuse anything that the state force you to do, say no to parades, say no to personality cult, say no to Kim Jong il, stand up and say your true feelings with your own words, say what you want , think what you want, don't say what the oppresing government and militia tells you. Fight for real democracy!Don't be slaves in your own country. The Kims dynasty henchemen can arest and kill 1.000.000 but they can't kill the whole country

  • @siralucard19

you will be quite surprised but most people are quite happy in North Korea. Starvation, poverty, etc - this is Bush's and Co propaganda. Actually it's we who were brainwashed in many aspects about theirs life. The Korean people indeed had problems in middle 90s but now famine is even lower than in nowaday Russia! Come and see with your eyes... I don't think that they will accept your "real democracy", even if you offer them.

btw all kids on the video participate voluntarily

  • @siralucard19

about "KIMs cult". Maybe it is better worship some real heroes who did a lot for country than Jesus, who did nothing and whos cult incomparable bigger?

  • @rashidDrums Jesus Christ talked about peace and love, his death gaved birth to the worlds biggest religion. Kim Jong illl did nothing, absolutely nothing good, hes prodigal son, he rules like a tyranic despot not careing about the country or its people but about his safety. He lives in luxury, eats, drinks expensive food, watches thousands of movie 90% are AMerican, and listens to what ever music he wants wile his people cannot cuz they'll might get arrested for watching "capitalist movies"

  • @siralucard19

Jesus talked about love? ok, maybe... but there were so many kills made by Jesus name and for His name.. This cult turns to be much bloodier. But you are wrong that Kim did nothing. He struggled against japan conquerors, in the meantime future South Korean president lived safe life away from his people, like a coward. His son, Kim Jong Il is good already only for maintain father's achievments. Much easier would be betray his people in exchange for US dollars in Swiss bank.

  • @rashidDrums Instead of helping his people and revive the economy, in the '90 he let millions to stave to death and bankrupt the country. There is no democracy, nothing belongs to the people, they all live in famine and terror and so many are desperate to escape from the country and Kim's rule. Only Kim and his family are fat, rich and healthy, they live like gods and they force evrybody to love them as gods or die. Nobody loves Kim in his country, only young commie fanatics from democracies do

  • @siralucard19

who said that democracy is good? Happiness is on the 1st place of priority, isn't it? not so called "freedom"! and btw there is no such thing as "real democracy" in the world. Average people rule nowhere! Banks are in charge!!

Noth Korean people DO NOT live in terror - this is a big, big myth which western people take for granted. The majority of them are really happy and proud. Leave them as they want to live.

  • @rashidDrums Go in NK if u have guts! See ya in the gulag. I'll be here living free and happy in the real world

  • @siralucard19

seems to me you dont understand what is a real happiness and freedom...

"democratic freedom" is actually freedom from traditions, from good youth behaviour, from respect to leaders, from healthy sporty life, from nations unity - what is it good for? No, i don't like such freedom, - it's just wildness - nothing more.

btw i am going to visit North Korea, maybe in 2012 at Kim Il-Sung 100th birthday.

  • The most awesome thing about korean people: THEY DO CARE FOR EACH OTHER!

This is SO huge difference from modern Russians where i live, that it worth a lot.

They think different and they feel different - truly amazing!

  • does anybody knows what is the name of sountrack or where get it?

  • Comment removed

  • Scary. I guess democratic brains would struggle to put together anything close to this...

  • Sooo if N.Korea falls im guessing that China and S.Korea will fight over it. China wanted it because it was under communism and S.Korea wants it traditional land back.

  • I know what propaganda is about, man!

Do as I have suggested, take both countries, mine and DPRK! With Google Earth Pro, do the same exercise by moving all along; compare both countries. Then, if you like, go to Spainish, French and German agricultural fields and compare; count the water reservoirs, just the ones with side dimensions with more than 100 m; you will find well over 2000 of them. Count all dams; they are thounsands! Count the new villages; they are in the thousands, man, etc, etc...

  • shzywansui, you don´t know what you are talking about;

Do what I suggested you to do; take your time and don´t fool yourself—those things can not be seen on Google maps; you´ve got to use Google Earth Pro and slowly ... very slowly. You think that you know much about DPRK and what you know is very far behind! — I wonder what your life experience has been so far; as I thought, your knowledge about agriculture, architecture or civil engineering looks very low; it seems to be around zero!

    Bye!

  • Those who say that the work of these children is a waste of time, certainly prefer to have their children spending their time on drugs or in front of a tv set playing Internet stupid games!...

    Well, what is better???

  • we should appreciate what these children can do. just hoping they're well-taken-cared of. they're so disciplined.

  • Like many aspects of mass games, this is impressive, but deeply disturbing. How many man-hours wasted?

  • @MusicMixology because 1945 is the year North Korea is liberated from Japanese

  • TERENZIENSTADT

  • Why at 3:49 it shows the year 1945?

  • poor kids...

  • @mouseat96 poor idiot!

  • A live cartoon show !

  • Pedobear: <3 Aaaah <3 <3 <3

  • I can't find one kid that mess this up. will they start this over if they do?

  • I saw some of them were out of synch....RIP to them

  • That background creeps me out. All those placards, all those faceless kids flipping cards seamlessly...*shudder*

  • diese aufgesetzte lebensfreude in einem land in dem keinem menschen das denken erlaubt ist und sich keiner bewegen kann wie er möchte

  • they don't get beaten, this is western crap propaganda. They brainwashed. It was all good durrin communist dictatoship, ignorance is good.Until you starve, wake up and shoot the motherfucker.Romania was only country in eastern bloc to have food shortages repeated and constant in the '80s.In '89 our leader was only one to get shot.Food shortage is humiliation, i see same for this guy sooner or later, don't fuck with the food.

  • NK Mr Roger's TV show

  • Doesn't anyone find it funny that all the pictures they're making are of kids playing happily while...?

    Yeah, you get the picture.

  • North Korea is like 1984 taken to a whole new level of weird.

  • @FunkyMonkeyVibration LOL right? 1984 at least the story was to try to make things equal for the animals [people].. this country basically just serves the leader's personal wishes...

  • What was that? And how bad was it? :)

Looks like a vivid example of mass autism. I can only hope that it's not contagious.

So, I suggest that we nuke'em from the orbit. Just to be sure, you know...

  • i feel sorry for these kids they are used by govt. as advertisement of kim jong ill

  • With about a few minutes.31 and many a few times, Top of my list is China, have been twice, then Cuba, then India, been twice, Mongolia three times oh since typing this Patagonia in Argentina as I am a steam engine fanatic.and Switzerland is another but boring,Syria and Lebanon hey I can go on forever with the islands in the Caribbean.,Worst place? Has to be Russia, they are so grumpy!

  • Long live North Korea. They prosper, they are happy people.

  • @davegp3

    YOU BE TROOOOLIN'

  • Stop saying North Korea is suffering!!! They prosper!!! It is a beautiful democratic country a they want peace, they are good people!!!! Only neonazi Republicans with GW Bush want to kill them!!!! Say yes to the People of North Korea, say NO to neonazi Bush!!!!

  • @davegp3

North Koreans actually eat grass because they are starving. At night satellite photos from space of North Korea show a black country...no night lights...no electricity ...no fuel for cars...it's really bad there.

  • @EdwardRommel And no polution! because USA, the best innegal country of this world who make money on poor workers, impose an embargo! stupid! Ok, the leader is a dictature and stupid, but for change them, change your country before for a better place! look aroud you: Lots of people have no houses, no cars, no jobs, NO MONEY FOR LIVE... wwaouu! Usa, GB, france and others are the best? I don't know! hey, do you know "three miles island"? and "AZF Toulouse"? no? ... poor earth...

  • @EdwardRommel Why waste monies on lighting streets when 90% of the population is tucked up in bed, In the UK we have just twigged on to the fact it is a great waste, and we will do the same thing, and looking at many videos from North Korea folk do not seem to be malnourished.yet in America not far from my home in Deming NM folk are living under bridges, was the same in the UK my main residence twenty years ago but now these folk now are sorted., please travel around then make an opinion.

  • @formichinoo

    I have traveled to 28 countries....have you?

I guess you can always look on the bright side of poverty...there are very few obese people in N. Korea...other than the "Great Leader" ...

  • @davegp3 yes, i'm totally ok with you! except for the leader, because the people can't make their choice. In usa, if you vote, it's the same things: The CIA leads the Usa and his stupid people. It's the best stupid dictature of the earth! Sometimes, i think Usa and north korea is the same country: army, patriotism, nationalism, slavery workers, no hospital for everybody, ... lol 2012, the end of world only for usa...economic system.

  • @pouloujing37

The US has free and open elections, a Congress, a Constitution, freedom of speech, assembly, press, cell phones, internet access, satellite TV..

    N. Korea has none of those freedoms....and they are starving....because communism doesn't work...as the USSR and China discovered the hard way.

They should have listened to the US in 1920 and saved themselves 70 years wasted on a foolish philosophy and bankrupt economic model.

  • vote me up if you want them to grow up and over throw the country

  • @bbqcom

why not just become a soldier, and help the north korean people do just that?

  • i dont what will happen to them if they wont participate

  • *** ALL THE PEOPLE SHOWN IN THIS VIDEO DO NOT KNOW WHAT YOUTUBE IS ***

  • @tpp27 It would be ridiculous, if was not so sadly...

  • This scares the shit out of me..and im asian

  • impressiv performance!

  • What a waste of talent, they should teach these people to come up with ideas on how to solve their economic problems and food shortages.

  • I dont know whats scarier... the kids all forced to be doing those extremely perfect dance moves all in one pace. Or that the background pictures are actually a big crowd of people!

  • Nomatter how wrong or write it is what a fucking show this is the absolute best you can get out of a human

  • Say what you like, there's no-one else in the World comes close to this in terms of organisation...

  • Comment removed

  • @koosk41 I have to disagree-- you can find something similar inside any anthill you happen to run across

  • look at the pictures in the background. kids with fat bellies playing? a kid with a computer?

how many north koreans do you think live that way? they have children starving and freezing to death in the streets.

if north korea really wants to show the world their greatness, they should cut the crap and create a nation that is connected by more than just fear.

  • Who filmed and uploaded this, a tourist?

  • @LastEmperor28 I hear everyone saying that, but I've never seen proof of it. Not to say the NK regime is great, but we shouldn't believe everything we hear about NK from our gov't, either.

  • i dont love nk but it is better to lets kids make thats or letting them play all these life at warcraft etc... looking tv

  • Let's put a STOP to North Korean indoctrination, which has reduced its folks to a herd of sheep!!!

  • I don't what the gov does. This is so clever. Nkorea is brilliant

  • It make me sad..poor kids..

  • dictatorship has never looked cuter!

  • @COMIXx That is sad but I lol'd

  • Thank you China u have helped create brutal north korea!!!!

  • @Jalclk124 blame the russians...

  • poor kidz :(

  • this makes the 2008 beijing olympics look like trash..

  • Its a small world afterall! Its a Small world after all! rofl, thats what the music and the children remind me of.

  • sick... poor poor kids. and you dumb shitheads sit in there and put it on video. sick. SICK !!!!!

  • @KCWob - how is it any different than parents putting making a video at their children's piano recital?

  • @statis

Well, they don't get killed or put into labor camps if they mess up.

  • This is freakin circus overkill...

  • OMG didn't they have a damn motion stabilizer on that cam? I am getting dizzy.

  • It's amazing how they do that.

Uhmmm.....how did you get this footage......? Just asking.....

And LMAO to the person below me, total agreement.

  • wow those are kids thats CRAZY

wat are the feeding those kids steriods with fruit loops

  • @trejo598 Delicious, delicious propaganda. That's what they're being fed.

God I love my username sometimes...

  • I am wonder how much does hard work take to produce such a eye pleasing show ?

Is it worth to do ?

What do they get paid for that ?

  • They get paid? Thought it was for the service of the state...

  • if you participate your usually in a privilidged position and you get TV's and other items most north koreans dont see. There should be a documentary somewhere on youtube where they investigated the mass games and followed around some of the participating gymnasts

  • and here we see fascism at work ...

  • How is this anything like fascism? Fascism is a far-right political ideology. North Korea is a single-party socialist state. Last time I checked, North Korea hasn't invaded any countries.

  • Well put. What was the arguement about? Someone thought North Korea was Fascist?

  • @acatisfinetoowut

I believe they invaded South Korea in June 1950, thus starting the Korean war. Although definitely not facist in ideology, any regime that subjugates individuals rights in the name of the state (read "ruling class") can't be too far removed from the practical results of facism. Either way that looks like it was an awesome show!

  • Can't that be said about any extremist regime? I could be wrong since I'm far from being a political science expert.

But also, the North and South never recognized each other government's sovereignty thus one can interpret whatever invasions by the North as something other than an invasion of another nation-state. And I think the U.S' policy at that time was that there is only one Korea, similar to the One-China policy it has adopted today with regards to China and Taiwan relations.

  • get a dictionary. what, you didn't know about communism?

  • ok, here's what the ol' dictionary has to say:

    fas⋅cism /ˈfæʃɪzəm/ Show Spelled Pronunciation [fash-iz-uhm]

    noun

    1. (sometimes initial capital letter) a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc.

stalin was a fascist, pol pot was a fascist and kim jong-il is a fascist.

  • i wonder how badly they get beaten if they fuck up

  • @boiledhooker What an idiotic comment!!

  • mann.. those poor kids are like robots! :(

  • I bet they are having fun. Just cause the have to do it. Doesn't mean its boring.

  • having fun?

    that`s so painful result

have you ever tried jump over 10 meters

they practice for about 5 hours a day sometimes

  • This kind of discipline is exactly what the Western world is lacking. Maybe we can learn something from it. First, doing excercise regularly and don't eat too much junk food, Obesity is out of the way. In the west, people are too self centred.

  • damn

    i totally agree with you.

imagine all fat children doing this

it will be healthy for them

  • they only eat rice

thats why they r so skinny

  • don`t need to be fatso

do you know a reasn why they are not fat?

    to fight well at warfare

    I`m a South Korean

  • We should be more communist? I think you are alone on that policy in the west. But because your in the west. You have a right to that policy. You could always move to the east of course...I dont think you would be able to talk to me anymore.

  • see this "north Korea soulwax krack"

    you`d feel what man is

  • wow perfect! I really admire the north Korean.

  • Comment removed

  • It`s a pity that the madmen in charge of this nation, did not put the money they spend on this sort of display, to use by feeding their own people.

  • I'm quitter but they are..

  • Nothing like communism to perfect the art of Choreography by age 6! Contradicting my sarcasm, that's still pretty cool.

  • poor people...

  • baby?

  • It's all staged! The government forces these kids to practive everyday.

  • @boisedmbfan its crazy eh, its all they do from age 5 to retirement. 120 000 people!

  • @boisedmbfan the kids are not forced, they have been brain washed since they were babys, for them it is a big honor to practice every day to show how good they are. It's really sad but they have nooo idea how the world really is.

  • @fleurdepine Yes, you're absolutely right, it's the best explanation. And, in ALL country, we have the brain washed by our governments and cia or kgb and schools, tv... We need to change the world everybody, for a better and pacific placeyou're absolutely right. Everybody, open your eyes...

  • Comment removed

  • @fleurdepine ...like an intelligent coyote, you think that "OURS" is the LAND OF OPPORTUNITY; am I right? Well, take this: your country has not much to offer DPRK that they are missing in any circumstance: not education, not welfare, not salvation army ...; DPRK, though a very tiny country, compared to "OURS" (do you get it?), it is almost self sufficient in most fields, and has much more to offer "US" than "WE" have to offer them!

So, take a note, smart guy: take it easy! —go back to school!

  • @jsnovais1000 The DPRK today is a very poor country which takes in large amounts of food aid from the outside world and suffers from chronic power shortages. It used to have a stronger economy than did the South, but that changed in the mid-1970s. Go to the Sinŭiju-Dandong border and compare the two sides. The difference is easy to see, especially at night. As for educational opportunities in the DPRK, they are extremely limited and peppered with virulent and even racist propaganda.

  • @jsnovais1000 So no, the DPRK is not self-sufficient. That is an illusion. That is government porpaganda. Even the Kim Jong Il has acknowledged this, saying: "Although the Great Leader told us that we have to let the people eat rice with meat soup, wear silk clothes and live in a tiled roof house, we have not accomplished his will".

The comment by fleurdepine is quite accurate. Furthermore, the DPRK is not a "very tiny country", in fact it's much larger than your country (Portugal).

  • @fleurdepine you're brainwashed yourself dude hahah

  • aha, very interesting Statement. And very Helpfull!

  • @fleurdepine —What are your TV soap operas, talk shows, and other TV programming interrupted by commercial and political advertising every minute, if not brainwashing?

It seems that you know little or nothing about your own country country!

Do you know why your government uses state owned stores to sell alcoholic beverages? ...and why your workers are paid by the week?... and why you are not allowed to have any alcoholic drink in a public places without a special licence?—If you don´t, SHUT-UP!

  • @boisedmbfan Really nno i didnt think they did that.. hahaha sorry

  • @boisedmbfan So you've been there, and seen this happen have you? If kids have to perform in the west, we all clap and say how wonderful it is, even if their teachers or parents forced them to participate. But we can't say anything positive if another country does it.

  • what a great performance! for all the critics, I'm sorry u idiots say theyre being oppressed cuz the Jonas Brothers didnt show up! talk abt mind control, look in the mirror first

  • can this guy not keep the camera still for a sec?

  • dang how come theres no movie stars or singing groups like big bang :p

  • its north korea.

  • businessNK on youtube

has videos on foreign business activities in North Korea.

    Check it out!

  • dizzying...literally

    N. K - what do you know?

  • "It's a small world" meets "Invasion of the bodysnatchers".

  • death to amerikkka

  • that real or computerized?

  • thats real .the background , too. there are thousand of humans who hold the pics. :-(

  • Unfortunately it is all too real. Shades of Obama.

  • dance of death lol

  • okay, well this is pretty amazing. I can see the effort put into this :/ but I kinda feel sorry for the kids..I mean, I'm sure this wasn't easy at all

  • In Korea, South Korea and North Korea have galryeojyeo. North Korea's ...

I hope if nambuging unification. Japan, China, in the United States

Was wonchian. Because the powers that be because

Jalsalji now with North Korea, South Korea is the jalsalgo.

  • It's fantastic!!!!!

  • fascism is soo0 cute

  • Fascism is not Communism. Fascism is America. Communism is peace and joy!

  • communism would be peace and joy if it frikkin worked. im not a big fan of any form of government. all systems are flawed because humanity itself is not perfect.

  • north korea have nothing to do with communism!!!

  • tell that to the the germans and russians of world war 2

  • I'm pretty sure this comment was intended as satire....

  • Good, then move to North Korea and shut the fuck up.

  • Hey, kids gotta eat

  • ahh the fresh smell of communism

  • this is kind of like one of those wierd scenes for scifi films where everyone has been taken over by mass mind control

  • Welcome to North Korea!! lol

  • Some children die because the have no food and here they are shown swimming and siting on a computer! It is so sad!

  • This is easily the most impressive performance I've ever watched. I cannot imagine the kind of training they went through.

  • The kids enjoy it for sure!

  • Mass child abuse -- what a retched and loathesome political system.

  • hmm..what about us?

its same for us in capitalistic countries..

  • Okay, with all that being said, can't deny that the Airang games are pretty amazing and well choreographed.

  • I think that its unfair for a doctor let's say, in a socialist society, there's not much of incentive to go through all the years of school that it takes to become a doctor, for example. What's the incentive when everybody's equal? There has to be some sort of compensation, either power in government or what not. There can't be a truly "equal" society in this planet. Not trying to pick fights. Just...opinion.

  • Its normal that for you its unfair to be a doctor in a communist society beeing brought up in capitalist, were you are told to work hard and do efforts to be advantaged in the society. Of course communist would say its the guy job to work hard for the good of the state.

  • There is no pure communist society in the same way that there is no pure capitalist societies. Both are corrupted systems that are void to be unsuccessful because of human nature. They are just a way of thinking.

  • exactly what i meant, the thought of a pure communist society is a good one. the thought of an entire nation seeking a common goal is a good one, but that's the hard part. to get a large group of people to agree on one thing will never happen becuaes of opinion and personal...wants/beliefs and what not.

  • Communist is an ideologie that requires for everyone to have the same opinion. Which is as long as its good for the the nation its good. The wants are all the same and the beliefs doesn't really matter. Communism is just a pure idealist theorie where the nation and the people make one, and where everything is done for the benefit of all, BY the state. There is no individual. So there are no personal wants and beliefs, only the state. Its not for this reason a communist society can't succeed.

  • If I can squeeze my way in this debate, I'd add that communist countries were rather equal societies economically where those who had the most power were those who thought communist the most. That's for JamesMir11 ; do not confuse communism & equal societies like Sweden in which you can hardly live without working, but also hardly pile up money without giving a few for the others. I don't know if the Swedes do need doctors, though.

  • Well, apparently those countries are pretty well off. Michael Moore thinks they're great. Haha.

  • not just great its a place were you never go hungey there no greed health care free they tell you what to do what to feel what to think i wish ill live to see the whole world wake up!!!

  • No no, I live in the lower part of the social spectrum in the United States, paying large amounts of taxes and really no benefits. Living here isn't the best, and I am in no way saying that a welfare capitalist state is the way to go, if it were for me, there would be more of a socialist structure to the US, but the problem with the whole "equality" stance is that you need to have people on top of others.

  • I give North Korea "kudos" for being one of the few countries in the world to completely defy the United States, and all forms of capitalism, but notice that we don't see the dying children north of Pyongyang, and that we also don't hear about the amount of starvation that the North Koreans go through. I see where they come from, with the idealogy of "Juche", but you can't deny the fact that it really is a pretty bad place to live in.

  • Well actually when you think about it The United states is a pretty bad place to live. Just not for you. In capitalist society its 3/4 of the population that lives in shit holes for the 1/4 whos left to be the most happy on earth. While in Communist society everything is shared. If food is missing in the capitalist its Africa who dies of hunger. While if food is missing in Cuba lets say well everyone in the country will see is ration diminish so everyone is feed properly.

  • Let me ask you something, you're from New Zealand, and I've had interest in New Zealand for a long time now, how's the healthcare system of New Zealand and how does it work? Is it 70% coverage like it is in Australia?

  • JamesMir11,

Since 1995, the United States has provided North Korea with over $1 billion in assistance, about 60% of which has paid for food aid and 40% or so paying for energy, Japan also gives a huge amount to NK, and yet these are the 2 countries which it most despises. NK survives on aid from capitalist societies and in no way 'defies' capitalism!

    assistance

  • It might accept aid from South Korea, and various other "western" democracies. (Well, South Korea can't be considered a Western Democracy.) But, I agree with you, but what my point was that to understand their "Juche" ideology, you have to study Korean history. I'm not saying you, swordfishsteak, that you don't know Korean history, but its a very tragic history. No country can survive on its own. But you'll never see a McDonald's there, or any form of foreign investment there. Not that I know of

  • I've never seen anything like that ever!

I had no idea that such things were possible.

    Kudos to North Korea!

  • Terrible hand-held camera work detracted from this very impressive and enthusiastic show. Would have been great to witness this first-hand.
