Kurdish people have been living in the current region called Kurdistan for longer than any historians cares to remember. the Turks migrated to anatolia around 800 years ago. they took over the land and called it Turkey. Turkey includes the largest part of Kurdish populated land. the Turkish government doesn't recognize any indigenous population in anatolia unless they are Turks. the Kurdish people in anatolia are oppressed in every way possible such as unable speak Kurdish, own lands...etc

Turks and Kurds were once allies during the Ottoman empire. at the fall of the empire the Turks betrayed Kurds by laying claim to Kurdish lands. in recent history, Turks have relocated many Kurdish family to Turkish populated areas as to convert them to Turks and consume Kurdistan. they have killed many Kurds who they thought were Kurdish nationalists. saddam is very similar, he threw Kurds out of Kurdish cities and replaced them with arabs, massacred large Kurdish populations.

the main cause of the problem is power. they all want to control Kurdistan as it provides a good source of agricultural development and has large oil reserves. however that is not possible without bloodshed as Kurdish people need those things too, so they fight over it. the arabs in south are more interested in expansion and the glory of Islam while Kurds are just fighting for survival. Turks also seek to expand their lands. Iran is another nation that has also killed Kurds for power and money.

Kurds have done nothing to anyone that hasn't done something to us. 1915, are you referring to the armenian genocide? are you an assyrian? if so then you have been misled about the truth of the situation. some Kurds where involved in the massacre of Armenians and assyrians, but they are called 'Jash' in Kurdish. that means they are son of donkeys. traitors to Kurdistan. and many Kurds have been killed by them too. those Kurds are our enemies too.

you are imagining things. Kurdish leaders have not done anything to assyrians. its the assyrians that are being used by the Turkemans to lay claim to Kurdish territories. Kurdish government is not even responsible for assyrian population. assyrians live mainly in Musel and Musel is a place controlled by the arabs. the Kurdish controlled territories in Iraq are sulaymnaiyah, Hewler, Duhok and Kirkuk is also the responsibility of the Kurds to make sure that Kurds are not oppressed anymore.

you should be careful where you get your information from. Turkish and arab propaganda never stops against Kurds. what you need to know is that they are mostly if not all lies. they spread false rummers, hell they probably even kill assyrians and say it was Kurds. the Turks did it. a guy told me that Kurds beheaded some assyrian priests in Musel in 2003 when it was clearly al quaeda who did and they even took the blame for it publicly. but some people just prefer it if it was Kurds.

why would Kurds do anything to assyrians? we have nothing against them. assyrians have done nothing to Kurds and we have done nothing to them. of course if an assyrian starts killing Kurds or uses a population of assyrians against Kurds then obviously Kurds will respond to that. we have too many enemies and the last thing we want is more enemies. i know many assyrians where working for the bathiest party when saddam was on power and they killed and hurt Kurds, they where taken care of.

uou should also know that the christian population of Iraq is under the strict protection of the Kurds. if it hadn't been for Kurds, the terrorists would have wiped all the christains out. there was no law and no one to protect them. but Kurds too responsibility for them and some has even moved permanently to Kurdish areas. Kurds are the most tolerant people in middle east. we have no problem living with other cultures and religions as long as we are free and we get to have a say in decisions.
