also, the drummer that they had in Baka Beyond is a man named Seckou Keita.

hes amazing.

and he broke off from Baka Beyond to do his own stuff in a group rightfully called Seckou Keita Quartet.

i like his quartet the best.

when I first heard this band a few years ago I didn't like it. To me the sound of some guy spitting into a pipe was disgusting. And the electro-violin wasn't much better. But ya know now I totally dig `em!!

They are natural eucalyptus didgs which I bought in the Northern Territory in Australia. The main one is in e-flat, and the longer one I switch to occasionally plays a b-flat. The guitarist tuned his guitar down a half step so that he was playing in D, but the notes came out in e-flat to match the didg.

Could be because we were nervous, or more likely because the TV show gave us a very strict time limit, and we had to rehearse it a couple of times to make sure it fit exactly into the time provided.
